Newman Estate Winery — Attraction in Murray Harbour

Stopped in spontaneously on our trip to PEI and enjoyed the tasting! Friendly, knowledgable and easy to converse with, Mike was a pleasure to host our tasting. Bought a bottle of the Newman Estate Seyval Blanc and accidentally left it at our airbnb. We had to purchase another one at the liquor store before leaving the province as it was so delish. Nice little little winery with a few varieties of red and whites. Small production of barrel aged reds with much more whites in stainless tankage. Tasting room comfortable but smallish. Red wines interesting tending towards sweeter side but some good spicy finishes. Whites include one dry and one with notes of green apple. Best rose sold out...
