I Love this little Park. It is extremely scenic with 360 degree views. The Shepody Dam is cool. The Lighthouse is picturesque with its setting. You can Enter the Lighthouse - It is unlocked. Be Respectful ! The Tall Ship Replica is in porportion to size and length - Very interesting. The Mud banks go for miles and it is nestled on Route old 114..which if you follow it out across the fields it will bring you to the doorstep of one of New Brunswick's Covered Bridges. Sawmill Creek Covered Bridge !!! LOVE...

What a pretty spot! Worth visiting if you're driving the 114 from Hopewell rocks to Fundy National Park. You can't get in this lighthouse but it's very cute and this is a spot to observe high/low tide and walking the Acadian Marsh is quite possible from here. Not busy. Good parking. No services. Just outside the village of Riverside-Albert which is a small but up and coming village in NB. It is situated approximately half way between Hillsborough and Alma, about 45 min South...

Hidden Gem. What a beautiful view from this place. Part of history for sure. And the old ship and Dam on the other side of the lighthouse.

I love to drive on gravel roads from here to the Covered bridge on the other side.

You will see many kinds of birds. And farm animals.

Can't enter into the light house. (used to be) free sightseeing and easy parking nearby or before Dam.

The best time is sunset or sunrise. Just forget everything and...

We found this place using iOverlander. What an incredible location! We spent the night so were present during the sunset time as well as the sunrise. The bird life was amazing! We had a long chat with some locals who were walking along the road, photographing birds. They talked of the joy of living in this paradise. The lighthouse was moved there some years ago and has suffered some vandalism but it is not the main attraction.

This was a bit of a lark...we wanted to see lighthouses nearby and GPS took us through a cow pasture! No joke. We laughed and said why would a lighthouse be out here? But, after a mile or so, there it was standing proud for the years it served the canal it watched over. Got some great pics and decided to take the main road back....which was just a few hundred feet from the cow path. Gotta love GPS!
