Great spot for launching a kayak or a canoe. Pets are allowed on the beach while on leash. The beach is sandy but with seaweed strewn about. The water doesn't get too deep so also a good spot for kids to swim. Many people come here to also fly their kites.

Nice, quiet beach sheltered from the main onshore breeze. Great place to paddle board. Water is much warmer than the ocean.

As other reviewers noted, expect mosquitoes and flies all over you (despite the fact that we were covered in bug spray - they must have been famished). The beach itself was pretty, but had lots of seaweed, so if you don't like swimming between seaweed tufts, there are better...

Beautiful beach. However bringing bug spray is a huge understatement. Bring hat, hoodie, full pants, sneakers, socks, gloves and mosquito net. Get out of the car and expect 11 of them on you the first minute. We arrived at 1145 and...
