This place is beautiful, but there is one thing I am not comfortable with. I have seen a lot of dog owners that don't have there dogs on a lead, they let them run free, which is great for you, but my fig doesn't do well with others...note I have her on a leash and muzzle. I think its unsafe for others if a dog is off a lead and a child or adult are scared of dogs or a animal doesn't do well with other dogs. Great trails, i just believe that your animal should be next to you not running far ahead of you or your family.

Very cute trail, lots of fire pits along the path to stop and have a picnic. Once you get about 1-2km into the woods there are far fewer people. The trail is very well marked with blue spray paint on the trees lining the path. 90% of the people and dogs walking the trail wear hunters orange/hot pink this time of year.

This is my favourite trail around the greater Moncton area! Everything about it is right. My dogs love to come here. The trail is always nicely groomed, people that walk in it are so nice. You get to see a hit of everything in the nature. If you’re looking for a nice walking spot that isn’t to hard this is it.

The Dobson Trail is a 58km trail running from Riverview NB, to the border of Fundy National Park. It's moderately difficult, normally people complete it in 3 days (completing in the afternoon on the third day). Some trail runners complete it in 1 day (must be in great shape). There are some elevation changes, but nothing crazy.

The trail itself is quite beautiful, it travels through the Kent Hills wind farm, so you get the opportunity to travel quite near the windmills located there. There's one very nice vista at Prosser Ridge Lookout (approximately KM 32 coming from Riverview), however most of the trail travels through the woods, without a lot of really nice lookouts.

If you plan on trying this trail, make sure you get the guidebook (available at Ocean Trail as of this writing), otherwise it is easy to get lost, as the trail crosses various other trails at points. The trail is extremely wet (going through swamp in several areas), especially in spring, so plan for wet feet. There are back country camp sites spaced out along the trail and there are ample water sources as long as you have an appropriate filter. Bring very strong bug spray, or you will be eaten alive (I cannot underscore...

5 stars for the trail itself and the volunteers who keep it maintained.

0 stars to the dog owners who break the rules and let their dogs go off leash. I had a retriever try to charge and jump on me today. That's why I carry a wooden walking stick. I don't know if your dog is friendly and wants to say hi or angry and wants to attack. And we never know because any off leash dog charges me is going to get a whack from my stick.

If I was a 70 year old, there was a good chance that dog would have knocked me over and...
