⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the most incredible experience visiting the Miscou Island Lighthouse! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning coastal views and the soothing sound of the waves crashing against the shore. The lighthouse itself is a marvel of architecture and history, standing tall as a beacon of maritime heritage.

Climbing to the top of the lighthouse was an adventure in itself, offering panoramic vistas that took my breath away. The picturesque surroundings, with the rugged cliffs and serene waters, created a perfect backdrop for some truly remarkable photos.

The staff on-site were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories about the lighthouse's past and its significance to the local community. It's clear that they take great pride in maintaining this iconic landmark and preserving its legacy for generations to come.

Whether you're a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Miscou Island Lighthouse is an absolute must-visit. I left feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and grateful for the opportunity to experience such a unique and enchanting destination. Don't miss out on this hidden gem along Canada's beautiful...

Need a place to lose yourself? This is it. Last year I went up in the lighthouse and read all of the history surrounding this great landmark. At the top of the lighthouse I asked my host more questions. What a beautiful site to visit. This year my needs were more grounded. If heights is not your thing, consider a stroll on the beach. The surrounding area is peat bogs and is a fragile ecosystem so we must try to avoid walking above high tide line. But the sounds of the surf, birds, the chatter as waves retreat over the time rounded stones is soothing music to the soul. To look out over the water to see slips of distant land and then...more water, is such a tremendous reminder that we are all just pebbles on the beach. Come for the history as it is fascinating, walk the beach as it is...

Finally experienced being at the tip of NB. Nice scenery along the way with lots of culture to learn from every town. The lighthouse is a working one where one can also go up for a fee, $6 for adults and $4 for kids. The sound of the beach is so relaxing along with the sea breeze and smell. The location is clean and well maintained including there restroom. They also have a restaurant where you can dine in before heading home or to your next stop.

Suggestion, last gas station is at Lameque so you might want to fill up because Miscou island itself...

The place holds the most northern and eastern spot I have driven. The view along the islands to get there were just as spectacular. The lighthouse is nice to visit, but I was mostly interested in viewing the coast and white caps on the windy day. Nearby was a beachy area, but the water is really cold. There were a lot of smoothed rocks along the beach, but surprisingly we did not see a single shell. I definately felt like I was in a different climate than the Maine coast we usually visit.
