Mispec Beach in the Saint John area is a lovely family and pet-friendly destination! The beach itself is spacious, with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy a day in the sun. The grassy areas are perfect for picnics, and there are outdoor hockey and basketball courts that add to the fun for active families. The playground area is a nice touch for kids, making it a great spot for a family day out.

However, there are a few drawbacks that I noticed during my visit. The oil refinery in the distance is quite an eyesore, which can detract from the natural beauty of the beach. Additionally, the maintenance of the area could use some attention, as there was quite a bit of litter scattered around.

Overall, Mispec Beach has great potential and offers a wonderful space for families. With a little more care and upkeep, it could truly shine as a top destination...

A beautiful sandy beach that goes a couple thousand feet out with the tide. Some trails nearby. Washroom in season. Tennis court. BE Careful entering - there is a perpetual bad bump at the end of the pavement. Lots of parking, stairs down to beach so difficult for mobility challenged persons, but you can sit at the edge of the parking lot and have a view of the whole beach. Detractor is that you are looking directly out at the Liquid Natural Gas terminal, but the sandy beach and rocks to the west end make...

This beach has gone into disarray. It used to be a decent place at one point. Over the years they closed the canteen and lost the stairs. They have since rebuilt the stairs, but that is it. The playground is old and falling apart, it was actually wrapped in caution tape when I went 2 weeks ago and was unusable. The beach had all kinds of litter all over it and a half eaten/destroyed seagull carcass washed ashore. I quickly left and will probably...

Another beautiful spot near the metro area. The beach is beautiful day and night. There are trails that lead to a Zen waterfall that is not well known. The only downside is the view of Canaport, although in the right conditions, the flames make the beach look like you are standing on another world. However, those same flames killed about 2500 birds a few years back. I was lucky to be invited to a semi-private fireworks display which was great to be near.

This scene presents a harmonious blend of land, sea, and sky, evoking a sense of calm and relaxation. The subtle presence of distant ships or industrial silhouettes introduces a narrative of coexistence between nature and industry, adding intrigue to the view. This setting would appeal to anyone looking for a peaceful escape or a scenic place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature.
