My dog and I come here regularly. It's only busy-ish in the Fall when everyone wants to see the leaves. Most other times, you won't see many people there. There are two entrances and parking is on the road. There are NO washrooms or garbage cans, so you have to bring your garbage out with you.
The trails are really flat with almost no hills. Not good for strollers/bikes as there are several downed trees to step over. Great for dogs and kids. The trails are anywhere from 1.7-3.5km long, but are unmarked, and there is river acces on the far south side. No trail maintenance in the winter.
Beware of ticks! My dog had one on her the first week of May from this location. Lots of squirrels, chipmunks, woodpeckers, a raccoon, and a bee's nest. Trilliums and Trout Lillies in...

Plan your route before you enter the hike, and stay on it because its so easy to lose track of the trail. No signs inside so either a trail app or Google map would help. A few visitors with leash free dogs, so be aware of that if bringing your pet, better keep it on leash. On street parking and enter from a blue coloured gate, there are a couple of enter points, once inside, walk down to a junction, turn right and make a loop from there on a map. No tickets needed. Overall a...
Read moreWe absolutely love visiting this walking trail with the kids and our dog :) I give it 5 stars as it's beautiful and we love going, however I am very disappointed at how many people think it's ok to just take their dogs off the leash and run ahead of them. It says that dogs should be leashed and I wish people would respect that it's not a dog park. We bring our pup but shes never off leash even when going by the water. Please people be respectful so EVERYONE can continue to enjoy this...
