We stayed a couple of nights at this park. The two gentlemen running the park were wonderful. They fought over which site was the nicest and the guy with the terminal one. We saw the other site too and they were both great, flat for our TC and on the water, but the one we had included easy access to the water and a granite knob sticking out into the bay. I awoke early one morning to get the most incredible sunrise images over the far shore and islands. We also hiked the trail out to the head and enjoyed it greatly. The park is something like twenty minutes (an easy drive) from Twillingate and twenty in the other direction from the Beothuk Archeological Site - right in the middle between them. Read moreStayed for 3 nights in this lovely little park. Gary in the booth was super friendly! We have a travel trailer and were on a great site close to the comfort station. We found that to be very clean and everything worked. Garbage and recycling collected daily. There was a fire ban on while we were there so that was disappointing.The park was pretty full but noise wasn't an issue. I'm sure the hiking trail is way more then 2kms as advertised.😊 Walked the periphery of the park daily with my dogs. Check out the history of the old tramway in the park! Wifi is a challenge! It is a convenient place to stay to explore Twillingate...
Read moreDon't bother to pay extra for water or electric at the site, the electricity is 15 amp with a GFI, so it's essentially useless for RV use. The breaker trips if you look at it wrong. And the water is not potable, so unless you have enough propane to boil it that warn you to avoid ingesting any. They do have some beautiful sites with no service which make more sense. Oh, and the wifi at the comfort station works, but it doesn't offer internet access, so I'm not sure...
