I’d never been here before; a gem in Niagara Falls. I have a list of many different places to walk with my pup. I decided to go here.
I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice Mini Golf near the entrance. Picnic and play area. Very clean big washrooms near the parking lot. I asked the nice guy at the booth if it costs anything to walk around the nature forest with my pup. He said no, but you can make a donation in the donation box which I did. A very good idea people when visiting donate some money.
A short walk to the well kept paths in the woods. Fish Pond Lookout, Early Settlers Cabin, Tree House, Forest Platforms, etc. So much to see, do and discover, especially for the kids.
There are 4 easy trails; some longer. My pup and I went on the boardwalk where a couple of Totem Poles were placed against trees. Lovely with the sun streaming through the trees.
There’s a Tiny Tots Playground and a nice wood covered concrete patio with picnic tables and chairs.
A really nice...

The paths are easy for anyone to traverse as there are no hills or awkward roots etc. The routes are easy to mark, but I always just walked around randomly. When I found a baby raccoon in a trash bin, I found a staff member (a kids' camp was going on), they dealt with it promptly without drawing the attention of the whole herd of children. All of the staff members I have come across have been lovely.
During the week in the summer, there are camps, so there tends to be a lot of kids. Everyone I've come across with dogs have been very polite and seem to know how to interact with dogs without being obnoxious.
Both friendly staff and visitors. Only wish that the trails were open earlier, but...
Read moreCame here during a stay in the Niagara Falls area, and was quite happy with it. A nice little walk through a forested wetland area. The kids spotted one turtle, several garder snakes, a tiny frog, and a beautiful butterfly. The operators were running some summer day camps for kids, but offered to take our kids on a train ride, which was nice. Not sure I would need to go back again too soon, but enjoyed the peaceful walk. Too bad it was so dry as the wetland was pretty parched. I also noticed the operators left a tractor idling unattended in an area close to picnic tables, etc, where it could easily have been...
