My friend and I went Walkers Country Market yesterday , stopped for lunch , I had a $20.00 , gift card I wanted to use . I was told by the the older lady working , that I could not use it. I asked why , she said it was an old card, I replied their is no expiration date, she said since it was not bought , but earned because it was for 120.00 purchase or more that it was received .Then she made up a a date saying I had to use it by last December, no where was it written on the card, and how would she know when it was received ?I did not want to argue since their were other customers in the store.. She is a long time employee there , since Walkers is a regular stop for me when I go to Niagara on the Lake .Not friendly at all, icing on the cake, we ordered 2 sandwiches, a drink, 2 ice creams ..with the sandwiches we got a cocktail pickle divided in two… Sorry will not be stopping there, or encourage any one I know to do so…the young lady working was pleasant when she gave us...

The peaches were in along with fresh picked apples, plum, grapes and berries, The vegetables were just washed for the morning's pick and just too nice to resist.
Besides all the fresh goodness they also have a knack of creating interesting (and delicious) baked goods. This time we spotted GRAPE CRUMBLE PIE. How ideal for one of the great grape regions of Canada. we were not in an experimental mood, so we took some peach tarts (they were in season after all).
