Went camping August long for the first time at NRP.. . It was amazing! Dog friendly which is super important, has excellent full service sites, walking trails, beautiful views - and appears very family friendly as well! There's a mini golf course, fairly large splash park and a stocked trout pond. We even found a bunch og eild blueberries and raspberries to snack on! Bathrooms are nice - clean, and the showers have lots of pressure (No pay, no weird push knobs to keep the water flowing either)Our site, and actually the large majority of sites, are good sized with lots of trees and privacy, or are easily blocked off for more privacy if you're looking for that. Wood comes in bags for $6 each at the park gate, and you're literally a few minutes away from town if you run out supplies. We will be headed back again and again and again!! Only thing we would have liked was an off leash park, but there are lots of open spaces to let your pups run if you want or need. Give Nipawin Regional Park a shot and you won't be...
Read moreWe love this Regional Park! It's kept very clean and the park staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoy their various waking/hiking/nature trails. They have picnic areas and a water spray park for children, climbing structures/playground, and a mini zip line. Their little petting zoo is fun to see with bunnies, chickens, a couple of baby cows and goats, ducks, etc. The sites we have been in are large drive-through sites, 30 amp, with full water and sewer. The only reason for the 4 star is because they don't have a beach because of being located on the river, but the town of Nipawin is only a few minute drive from the park and they have an outdoor pool with lifeguards on duty if you wanted to go for a swim. They do have boat launch access for boats for fishing or a day...
Read moreI liked these campgrounds. We went close to the end of the season and still found it enjoyable. We took our dogs and they did great, just remember to keep them on leash and clean up after them and you won't have an issue. No, there isn't a beach but there are lots of trails and a close boat launch. Nipawin is not even 5 minutes away if you want a pool. The bathrooms are not 5 star hotel clean. Remember this is a regional campground and they are maintained as best as they can be within the budget they are given. So, yes you might find misquotes, bugs, and maybe a couple webs in the bathroom/showers and maybe there's water on the counter from people not caring about their surroundings. Don't let this deter you from enjoying this area. There are lots of things...
