Kashwakamak Lake — Attraction in North Frontenac

A friend and I stayed at Fernleigh Lodge last August for several days of relaxation, detachment from work, and walleye fishing. Cabin was perfect for our purposes, lodge staff excellent, and the lake was not crowded with boats or jet skis. Cooked fish we caught and ate at a picnic table about 5 feet from the lake edge. Convenient boat lunch, not very busy and have some around 7 spots for cars + one handicapped spot. Also is made roundabout, so you don't need to worry about turning around in tight space. As per lake, for my taste there was too much motorboat traffic during the day and a lot of cottages on the shore. During the day it becomes quite noisy and wavy from all boats and see-doo's around. Great fishing, caught quite a few bass. Guess it helps that I was targeting them. It’s a pretty big lake and I can really stretch my boat out on a long run. Great island camping. I stayed on site #8, I thought the site was amazing.
