We stopped here as a break on our way back home. At first glance it was a surprisingly nice park with nice views of the valley. Lots of trees and the campground Hidden Coulee was quite spacious. However the reasons for 2 stars are these:

  1. I had to pick up a bag full of garbage from our campsite, which included, but not limited to: balloon pieces, plastic forks, bottle caps, wrappers, tissue paper, a sock, and a small ball.
  2. throughout the park, we have noticed lots of garbage laying around and a serious lack of secure garbage cans.
  3. the water is overgrown with algae and plants, which cases the fish to die and wash up to the shore (there was at least one fish every 1-2 meters on the beach), causing a strong fishy odour throughout the beach area. We asked the staff, and the mentioned this happens every year in these lakes. Definitely would not recommend swimming here.
  4. people don't respect quite hours or others here. At about 11-12 at night there was a group that was yelling at there campsite while we were trying to sleep. So I felt quite ripped off by paying $42 ($20 campground, $12 reservation fee, $10 daily parking pass) for a dirty campground, dirty park and an unusable beach/swimming area. We will NOT be...

First with the annual pass for 30 day stay over $1000.00 Let's see driving to our site ran over some debris got a flat tire had to call a tow truck tire couldn't be repaired so another $232 plus the tow truck $134. 45 degree slope full of weeds picnic table against the fence. Barbecue full of last person there. Bathrooms are iffy there are some employees that don't clean at all! Door closers don't work the grab bars are rusting zero cell service. The Park manager wants you to call to tell her about stuff. How about she goes out and check things herself. O h tree maintenance is whenever a tree falls over blocks the road. Never mind the branches that are hanging over your site. Where the wood used to be the sign is still up? Occasionally there is an employee at the gate. 30 Amp service but the plug in above for an extension cord is not up to code and...

COYOTES scared us, BIG CONCERN!! Coyotes walked through our non-electrical TENT SITE and through the trees at our campsite at approx. midnight on June 29, 2023 (we were in our 3 man tent and very concerned). The PACK of approx 6+ could be heard howling loudly 3 of 6 nights we were there (June 26-30, 2023). Been going to Echo Lakeview Campground for 30 years and NEVER had this Coyote problem before! I’m booked another week in July but will probably cancel out of concern. Have loved camping (tenting) at Echo (Lakeview) for 30 years but these very INTRUSIVE COYOTES ruined the experience for us this year. I know it’s said not to worry and live in harmony with them but there was something very unsettling when they walked through our campsite and could be heard nearby for 3 out of our 6 day stay!! IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN OR PETS BE VERY VERY...
