A nice park with many features including walking trails, a beach, boat launch, and many picnic areas. We went there to walk the trails and found the park "Closed", but you could still walk the trails. However the washrooms were locked. The trails consist of a long straight trail along an old road through relatively mature old softwood forest and then a trail winding along the lake front leading to the beach and the picnic area where the boat launch is. In total we walked about 4 km, but there are more loops around the picnic area where we could add distance.    Read morePark was clean, well maintained and the park staff were friendly.
Dogs are permitted on leash, but due to the very small actual "beach" (area with sand with access to the water) being so small, dogs are not permitted in the water.
Most of the area is an open grass field with spread out picnic tables for day activities. We enjoyed kicking a soccer ball around, playing frisbee and cooking with the portable BBQ.
It would be wise to bring portable shelters/beach umbrellas as there is very limited cover.
As the area is mostly grass, some of it can become quite muddy/slippery with heavy rain.

Many times I find myself taking friends they're going for a stroll and just recharging. I must go must stop.
