A nice park with many features including walking trails, a beach, boat launch, and many picnic areas. We went there to walk the trails and found the park "Closed", but you could still walk the trails. However the washrooms were locked. The trails consist of a long straight trail along an old road through relatively mature old softwood forest and then a trail winding along the lake front leading to the beach and the picnic area where the boat launch is. In total we walked about 4 km, but there are more loops around the picnic area where we could add distance. There is plenty of parking when the park is opened but with it closed youhave to park on the road leading...

Park was clean, well maintained and the park staff were friendly.

Dogs are permitted on leash, but due to the very small actual "beach" (area with sand with access to the water) being so small, dogs are not permitted in the water.

Most of the area is an open grass field with spread out picnic tables for day activities. We enjoyed kicking a soccer ball around, playing frisbee and cooking with the portable BBQ.

It would be wise to bring portable shelters/beach umbrellas as there is very limited cover.

As the area is mostly grass, some of it can become quite muddy/slippery with heavy rain.

There are...

This is amazing spot not far out of the city to go for a really nice walk through the woods along the lake which ends in a beautiful picnic area and swimming area changing rooms washrooms it is an amazing spot to go for a nice hike out of the busy City right in the heart of nature. Many times I find myself taking friends they're going for a stroll and just recharging. I must go must stop. Make sure if you're going to be there past 8 p.m. to park outside of the gate as the gates close sharp at 8 p.m. and you are stuck there for the night. I give this place a...

Not a tremendous amount of things to do, but very beautiful. Wonderful slice of forest to walk through and catch the sun reflecting off the lake. Well maintained park. Paths both for the park vehicles and more 'off road' ones where tree markers are uses. Benches to sit at, garbage cans discretely placed to put your coffee cup/dog droppings. Bring bug spray! Mosquitos are horrendous out there.

A beautiful park that more people need to come to. The walking paths are easy for anyone to walk on. There is tons of free parking all over. There are manu gorgeous views everywhere. The boat launch has plenty of room for the trailer and vehicle to back up. The public restrooms are in excellent shape. The most important part though is the supreme beauty here though.

Beautiful spot to take the kids and enjoy some rest and relaxation. A beautiful beach, a picnic area, washrooms all add to a great spot to spend the day! The provincial park has a lot of parking spots and also has an overflow spot incase the parking is filled up. I would highly recommend this spot for a nice afternoon read as well.
