Visited the park for a hike/walk with family this past weekend (weather was brisk but perfect for walking). The park offers various trails year-round and these were all covered in leaves so quite pretty. We were disappointed in that there was no sign of life other than we met a man walking his dog at the very start of our walk - we were completely alone for the 7km … The parking lot was empty, the ‘information’ hut was closed. There is no indication on the website that the trails may be closed - so it felt a little odd walking around. The main thing that bothered us is that the colours on the signs that are meant to guide us did not correspond to the colours on the trail map?! Keep in mind, the grounds were completely covered in leaves so signs are important! Also, some signs had come loose and were on the floor so we were left to guess in which direction to go … thank goodness for Google maps that helped...

This was definitely a highlight of my trip to park. The walk up is easy, and it’s nice to see locals running down the slope. The view is amazing! The leaves at the top were warm and cozy which was perfect for the chilly weather. The trees are very high. Definitely should not miss this if you ever...

Nice place to spend the day with the kids or with a group of people. Boat launch, standing fire pits, wide open grassy areas with picnic tables, swimming, exploring, washrooms with showers, play area for kids, ample parking.
