We've been to Frink a few times when in the area (fall and summer) and it was great each time. Parking across the road from the COVID-closed discovery centre looks like it could get tight when busy. Parking (~$5) is by the PayByPhone app or by calling a number and using credit card, but beware that cell signal in the lot is very weak. The boardwalk is fantastic and seems to have enough breeze to keep the mosquitoes away (getting there... not so much). Some trails are a little rough, but the boardwalk and access is stroller and wheelchair friendly. From the boardwalk we saw all kinds of small birds, frogs, turtles, snakes, a beaver, swans, etc.). Bring a camera!

Amazing to go and look at wildlife, with several different regions that you can explore. Theres a boardwalk in the wetlands, where you can see turtles and herons and other wetland animals (heard theres a beaver in there somewhere), and trails through the woods where you'll find toads, garter snakes, milk snakes, lots of red squirrels, the odd deer or so and loads of woodpeckers and chickadees (tons of other small birds too!!!) Love coming through here and seeing the plants and animals and enjoying the trails

Great assortment of trails. The boardwalk was a very easy short hike (0.9 km each way). The other trails offered are very well marked. Even tree stumps and roots are highlighted to prevent tripping. $5 daily fee for parking is not bad.

Love Love LOVE IT! I visited years ago as a kid for one of their school day trip things and honestly I forgot it even existed until someone mentioned it lol, but I'm super glad we went and checked it out because there's so much gorgeous nature there! From the trails to trees to the river and creatures. The one entrance behind the building and about 2 mins in theres HUGE stones covered in moss. I thought i got pictures but apparently I didn't get more than one lol. I was just so excited with how cool they looked so i forgot to snap more lol. But it totally has StoneHenge old world celtic vibes at taht part. Like you can feel something magical AF went down in there and or in those woods at some point in time. I DEFINITELY wouldn't want to get lost there in the dark! FYI There's trail markers so you dont tho (unless your a special kinda person lol) and or you go way off the path/forrest area. So ya, don't that unless you're confident enough you can get back lol. Speaking of magic, creatures and darkness tho there is definitely something more in those woods thn the animals! Sometimes it would just go dead quiet and the birds wouldn't even make a peep and the trees would still. Which BTW There's so many unique trees and so many birdies there already. We seen some crows, gracklings, red tailed squirrel, snakes, a frog. So forewarning come prepared to do a hike because even tho theres trails you can help but wander off them and keep going cause there's so many interesting things along the way!

If you love nature and of doing trails with or without your dogs I VERY HIGHLY recommended doing this one! It'd also be a gorgeous spot for a photo shoot in the fall...

Great nature trails that can lead you to many different adventures. The trails are on both sides of the road and offer completely different experiences. To the South there is a newly renovated boardwalk that you can see all kinds of different animals. Common sightings are turtles (snapping, painted, blandings, musk, and map) Birds (herons, blue jays, cardinals, American Bitten) Frogs (bull, leopard, mud, spring peepers, grey tree frog) Beavers, squirrels, chipmunks and so much more. If you go on the North side of the road you can hike up a drumlin ( a steep hill that is formed by the stopping of a glacier) and back down to the rivers edge and see all kinds of different trees that are marked on the trail. Every trail is like another experience be sure to check...
