Hiking path starting at lake ontario and heading north thru conservation land. Rideau trail uses this path with orange markers. Side loops along the way. Crosses major strees areas with shops and stores but still be prepared when hiking the trails. Very nice forest but people need to practice leave no trace principals, i carried a bag of garbage out that i picked up in under a km the bag was full! Parking area at king st and trailhead place.

This is a glorious out and back hike through shaded Woods, and open marsh along a boardwalk (two marshes to cross if you go all the way). Be prepared to tread carefully on some parts of the boardwalk, but otherwise a great place to see all kinds of species.

Good trail, although its not complete as the bridge is broken between some parts but can be traversed. The trail itself doesn’t end after the railways tracks you either you have to turn back or walk the tracks to the next nearest road, it’s a risk.

Access this conservation area at entrance to Trailhead Place off King St. This used to be a portion of the Rideau Trail. Parking is free, access is free. You can follow a trail along the West limits of the golf course for about 1km when you come to a broken bridge/boardwalk. There is a sign posted indicating the trail is closed. The access from the north side of this trail used to be off Greenview place (Queen Mary, Bath Road) but when we attempted this access we found a sign indicating 'private property - no conservation access' with a second sign posted at the opening between trees posted on what appeared to be a new wood storage shed. Looks like the detour around on the city roads may become the new trail, disappointing. This is a valuable precious resource for the City which hopefully is put back into operation...

Great place to be outside enjoying nature in its many beautiful forms. There are trails to explore, wildlife to observe, picnics to be had, people watching, sunbathers and of course sometimes one runs into the Naturalist. I have seen couples enjoying themselves in nature's grandeur, heads up. It may be inappropriate for children. Joggers, runners, cyclists, cross trainers and outdoor enthusiasts are often seen on this part of the trail. This trail starts/ends on QueenMary Rd North side of Bath Rd. When starting from that point it takes you to the Parkway which continues to Princes Street. A leisurely 20 minute walk in...

Really nice patch of nature in central Kingston, with a fairly decent trail and a boardwalk through the marsh. Its really peaceful in the winter especially after a fresh snowfall, especially if you come on a slower day closer to sunset, as you can watch the orange glow of the sun as it sinks through the trees. I definitely recommend checking the conservation area out if you are in the area and want something to do that's outdoors. Will definitely be back in the spring/summer months to enjoy the greenery...
