we parked next to an old log home per Google's directions. there were a few other vehicles there, but I was really unclear how we kept coming across so many different people on our walk! turns out there are three different parking lots from which you can start your walk. the trail was well obscured by the leaves so it was tough to pick it out correctly. there are a number of complementary trails not listed on all trails (so it is easy to amble "off trail" without realizing it). it was a warm, sunny fall day and the weather was just right for a slow, but steady drop of leaves. My son caught a bunch, as did I. we met quite a few dogs and quite a lot of careless owners whose unhelpful call of "my dog is friendly!" repeatedly had to be met with "my dog isn't!". other than that, a really clean, well spaced trail. there are some steeps to climb/descend and there are hazards like big rocks/roots over the trail, so it wouldn't be an easy trail for everyone. for the able bodied, it was very easy and absolutely lovely. I'd like to see it in winter.

Overall, not a bad place to go for a hike. Our party had some trouble identifying the "scenic lookouts" identified in the map, as many of them appeared to be just spots next to closed woods with tall grass. While there were a few beautiful spots, if you're looking for a scenic getaway kind of trail there should be better options out there, as a good part of the trail was next to local roads so you can hear car noises in the background. There are washrooms in the parking lot, which is convenient. They were very well maintained when we went there.

Highly recommend this trail! Lots of trees covering the trail for shade which is perfect for hot days like today. Didn't go super deep into the trail as it was our first time but excited to explore some more this summer ! There are signs in the trail too with arrows to let you know which trail you're on and where to go for each trail and rest stop. Hopefully this will be an approved off-leash dog area! I'd love to take my dog off leash here in the future.

Trails were nice but there was so much poop!!!! All of the disgusting dog owners really need to pick up their dog's poop. Alternatively, don't own a dog if you can't be bothered with the responsibility. To touch on the trails again, they were poorly marked and unfortunately the sound of the highway took us out of how beautiful the location really is. Our favourite place is the side trail by the river, there is a twisting quiet trail that has you pass over the water in many spots and because you're in a valley, its...
