I would give this winery 10 stars if I could. A winery with a cozy atmosphere, welcoming and friendly team. Visited this winery for their snow shoeing adventure. Absolutely amazing. Adam was our guide and was helpful, fun and made sure everyone was having a good time. We snow shoed to the sugar shack where a fire was waiting for us. Kyle and Andrew were ready to serve us wine which was so much fun. Sitting around a fire, tasting wine, having lunch was magical. The wines were so good. We tried the field white, Chardonnay, Rose and then their Big Red. I’m not a red wine drinker but it would’ve been rude not to try it. It was delicious and I even had seconds. 😁 looks like I’m converted. Highly recommend this vineyard. Looking forward to visiting in the summer.

Three Dog Winery is the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at ease. It one of the most laid-back and inviting outdoor settings around. Between the sprawling picnic areas, shaded seating, and surrounding forest trails, it’s easy to spend an entire afternoon here and forget about the rest of the world. The vibe is casual and community-driven—live music on the weekends, wood-fired pizzas, and a family-friendly feel that still manages to be peaceful and scenic. It’s the perfect mix of fun and tranquil. And of course, the star of the show is the dog. Their sweet and friendly pup (true to the winery’s name) adds so much charm. It’s a small detail, but it really reinforces the warmth and personality of the place.

We were the first customers there. Very dog friendly atmosphere. There's a resident fur buddy there who's very friendly and well behaved. We tried the premium wine flight $22. The Riesling stood out as our favourite. The other ones were not our type of wine. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The weather was not the greatest it started to rain once we got seated in one of the gazebo tables. There's free water available for guests and their dogs. We also ordered the combination pizza with heirloom tomatoes, mushrooms and bacon bits. The pizza was baked in wood fire oven outside. Overall it was a pleasant visit. I just wish we had better weather.

A Hospitality Experience We’ll Never Forget – Thank You, Three Dog Winery!

From the moment we pulled up to Three Dog Winery, we knew we were in for something special. What we didn’t expect was to have one of the best hospitality experiences we’ve ever received — not just in Prince Edward County, but in all our travels.

The setting is warm and inviting, a perfect blend of rustic charm and relaxed elegance. Right away, we were greeted with genuine kindness — not the kind you get from a script, but the kind that makes you feel like you’ve come home.

We enjoyed a beautifully curated cheese and charcuterie board that was as thoughtful as it was delicious. Every bite was a celebration of local craftsmanship and fresh flavour. (If you could kindly remind us of the cheeses, meats, and the fantastic local suppliers again, we’d love to give them the shout-out they absolutely deserve.)

Of course, we couldn’t leave without taking a bit of Three Dog home with us. We picked up a bottle of white, a red, and a few of those refreshingly crisp spritzers. Every sip will bring us back to that perfect afternoon — laughter in the breeze, sunshine on the patio, and nothing but good energy.

From start to finish — from the first warm welcome to the long drive back to Ottawa — this was hands-down the best winery experience we’ve ever had. The team at Three Dog Winery has set a gold standard for hospitality, and we only wish more establishments could model themselves after your dedication to not just serving, but truly connecting with your guests.

Thank you for making us feel so welcome. We’re already planning our next visit — and bringing friends.

Warmest...

Not family friendly. Showed up right after opening, with our toddlers, there was no one else there. We were told that walking between the tables wasn’t allowed, which is understandable givin the Covid restrictions. We chose a table at the back near the vines so the kids would have some open space away from the other tables to roam. Before we even ordered we got told off for this and told the kids had to stay right at the table. This wasn’t possible for 2 kids under two so we left. Gave them snacks in the parking lot and headed home incredibly disappointed.

I understand that they are limited by public health, but other places we visited had full menus and a play structure for kids so I don’t understand. I’m sure the wine and food is lovely but pass on this one of you...

Unfortunately I took zero photos of this gorgeous place but we’ll chalk it up to enjoying the space so much I forgot!

This winery is a must visit if you enjoy a welcoming, relaxed environment with down to earth and knowledgeable staff. They pour their heart and souls into everything they do and it shows. You’re bound to find a wine (or several) that you enjoy - we had the spring fling flight and the premium flight during our visit; both were excellent with their own unique character. Pizza smelled delish although we didn’t partake.

The atmosphere is so disarming - no pretence or overly in-and-out vibe. Select a record from their extensive collection, try some wine, learn some new things, relax, play a game, pet a dog; it’s got all the makings for a perfect day!

We...
