Came across this location on the map, looking for a place to walk in peace on a rather cloudy afternoon. The entrance was 13.50 CAD and we were welcomed by a very friendly dog in a parking lot with no entrance sign, as we were wondering if this was the right place.

Friendly girl at the entrance who advised us to walk to the last 'fountain show' of the day, at 2.45pm inspired by the fountain show at Versailles during Louis XIV, if I remember correctly:

this is the only private owned gardens artesian show I remember to have seen around the world and although not as tall as Bellagio's in Las Vegas for example, is still well put together and lasting 6min as we were told from here we walked via the Temple garden to the Aviary where they have a few curious pheasants (probably because the colours of my dress) and varieties of pigeons etc crossing to the other side of the pond, with a bride taking pictures near a swan and an Egyptian goose, we went to the Rock garden, still well thought, Conifer, Cactus and Marsh gardens with their huge varieties of plants, bushes and flowers I have never seen in Europe despite Northern Spain, Italy, Greece sharing the same parallel as this area. If you like the above, trust me, you will be spoilt.

Plus, we hardly came across any people, so were able to walk, sit on benches and just enjoy ourselves followed by butterflies and some chipmunks. They also sell plants here but they are a bit expensive. Most surely we will return as we noticed they have new plants even in the autumn months. What a pity they are not open in the winter months, as we enjoy watching trees and bushes even when is very...

Extremely disappointing experience dealing with the owners of this establishment. After purchasing a groupon for my family to attend the gardens and night time show, the redemption code did not work when I tried to buy tickets for the show. I emailed them and got a call back from one of the owners who promised to rectify the situation and contact groupon to correct the wording on and misleading advertisement. I agreed to wait a few days for her to come up with a solution. I reviewed all fine print on groupon and no where anywhere does it say that the groupon excludes the night time show. This may have been updated now, but at the time I bought the groupon it did not state that anywhere. I received a message from the other owner telling me he’s sorry for any confusion but basically too bad. It’s unfortunate that these companies will falsely advertise and then do nothing for the customer who just spent hours buying a groupon, half hour call with the owner, emails back and forth, back on groupon to request a refund, hours wasted due to their false advertising with no solution offered except an apology. Be aware if you purchase a groupon it does not include the nighttime show. I feel very sorry for people who will drive all the way out of town to learn that what they thought they were purchasing is...

What a hidden gem. Nicely landscaped gardens (paid entry). Even at the tail end of the peony season, you still see lots of beautiful blooms and smell the perfumed scent of peonies in the air. Try making it for the musical water fountain - twice on weekdays 11:15am and 1:45pm, thrice on weekends 11:15am, 1:00pm and 2:45pm (subject to change - check their Facebook). Watch the water play, choreographed to lovely music by Hank. There's a concession stand (cash only) for drinks (incl. local beer) and ice-cream to cool down a hot day. Bring a picnic lunch and sit on the many benches well placed throughout to enjoy the garden or under a canopy of green leaves and listen to the wonderful bird songs at the aviary with their beautiful exotic plumage. Thanks to everyone at Whistling Gardens for their efforts in making this garden a little...
