The view is absolutely worth it 👀⛰️🥾 How to get there: Once at the summit of Mont-Orford, look for the antenna and take the trail on your left. Be careful it’s not the 4km trail! If you’ve followed the right path, you’ll find the opening to the footbridges on your left, between a lot of conifers. Follow @ferlattez for more adventures discoveries⛰️🙌🏼🥾 🚗 2.5hrs drive from QC and 1.5hrs from MTL 📍Mont-Orford 🥾 Circuit Altitude 🔝 Altitude : 850 meters 🐶 Dogs : Are authorized in leash starting from May 1st ✨ Trails Length: Between 3 and 7.4 km 🥵 Level : Easy to difficult depending on which trail you take Have fun and let me know if you enjoyed!✨☺️ #hike #mountains #summit #quebec #exploremore #adventure #hiking #viewpoint #easterntownships #cantonsdelest #canada #adventuretime

The indications to go to the Mont-Chauve trail aren’t really clear (we completed the trail l’Étang-fer-de-Lance thinking the Mont-Chauve trail started at the same point, but it doesn’t - we needed to walk through the parking and pass by the dock (where people put their boats to the water) to start the trail). I highly suggest going to the Service Centre to ask directions as this is only how we got to the start of the trail. The Mont-Chauve a pretty hard trail as some parts of the trail are super steep (need some climbing at some parts, especially near the top of the mountain). The employee at the Services Centre suggested us to start by the Flanc Ouest (West) first, then finish with the Flanc Est (East). I too think it was the best way to go, as the West side was steeper and more challenging then the East side of the loop. The more you go up, the more flies there are. Highly recommend bringing a mosquito repellent with you and also, lots of water! When we were this high up, our hands started to swell (and pretty sure our feet too), so make sure you get comfortable hiking shoes with enough room for your feet, otherwise you might get blisters like I did! Overall, it was a pretty nice hike, perfect on a sunny day (not too hot as there’s a lot of trees giving you shade), and the feeling of accomplishment once you’re done is amazing! If you want, there’s also a beach near the Services Centre, so you can go for a swim before or after your hike!

I went to Mont Orford on Canada day! good thing there weren’t many people, it was easy to access the park not much wait. They charge per person and depending which trails you choose, they lead you to a free parking or paying parking. Since we had two dogs with us, we had 2 walking trails to choose from (that allows dogs on a leash) one takes 2 hours ( free parking near by the entrance and the other one 3 hours (you slightly need to go further up and pay parking about $10 more) We chose the Mont-Chauve trail (about 10km hiking up the rocky trail, it tooks us a little more than 4 hours to go up and come down) this trail is not suited for people who has knee problem, it is pretty rocky and steep compare to other trails ive been in the past. Even my two dogs had to jump rocks to rocks (I suggest you take the easiest trail of 2 hours, the lady at the front told us it would be more of a flat surface surrounding the water) If! you are not going there to hike, then just do picnic at the beach, bring your bathing suit and your paddle board, relax all day! The view of the mountains is breathtaking, the water is clean, the bathroom is well maintained. Such a beautiful place to hang out with your family on a sunny day After a long day of hiking my legs were done, make sure you stretch! Dont forget to bring bug spray during wet season, or during summer (tons of mosquitos that won’t you free)

This was our first time trying the "ready to camp" experience and first time in Mont-Orford. My experience was great on both fronts. Mont-Orford is beautiful and the camp staff we met was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. There are a good number of activities to do. The Jaseur campground was clean and well set-up. The only downside is the proximity of the tents. I usually camp with a tent in the wilderness (not sepaq). You definitely won't fell alone in nature out here. However, it has some worthwhile pros. Tent was much bigger then I expected. There was also no black flies or mosquitoes when we went (end of August) I would recommend the experience for families with kids, people that are new to camping or anyone looking for a quick nature getaway that's comfortable but doesn't require full camping gear. ||||Main pros: you won't have to pack much and you'll be very comfortable||Main cons: proximity of other tents, no music allowed, curfew at 11pm||||Content of the ready to camp tent:||- fridge||- table and 4 chairs||- 2 kettles, pots, pans, cooking utensils, corkscrew, dishes, wine glasses, cups||- toaster||- small space heater||- lighter ||- garbage bags and recycling ||- dishrags and oven proof gloves||- tray for dishwashing, soap and sponge||- 2 mattresses raised off the floor with 4 pillows (easily sleeps 4 adults however tall people will likely have to sleep at an angle)||||Outside the tent:||- secure box for dry food outside the tent (racoon proof - we didn't see any) ||- fire pit with grill||- 4 plastic chairs||- 2 burner stove with propane included||- picnic table ||- bathroom with shower and sink to wash dishes (shared)||- wheelbarrow to bring your stuff between your...

We decided as a family to go camping on the Lac Stukley side. Considering that the campsites are relatively new, I was impressed with them, knowing that in 2 to 3 years those sites will be very private. Beautiful hiking trails, great for bike riding. Next time we decide to go, we will be sure to go during low season ( May, June, Sept ). I'm not a big fan of having more than 500 people on the beach, were used to being pretty much alone. That being said, we do have some negative issues: The one that really bothered us the most is if you were camping for the weekend you were NOT ALLOWED TO PARK YOUR CAR IN THE PARKING LOT WHERE THE BEACH WAS!! This was reserved for the people who came for the day. Now, we all paid the $8.50 entrance fee ( I have no problem with that ) it's just that our site was 1 km away. Try bringing 6 chairs, 2 coolers, 3 beach bags for a Km..NOT FUN.When asked if we could bring the car down for a minute to unload, we were sternly told NO and the fellow pointed to a sign ( which ALL the signs were in FRENCH, except one which I saw in the 4 days we were there ) Another thing is that everything is sooooo expensive, 2 bags of ice $10.00.(IT'S FROZEN WATER), bought 3 ice cream sandwiches for my grand children $ 16.00. Nearly lost my mind. And of course there was the signs that were only in French, I'm perfectly bilingual, but that isn't the point..I must have had to translated 20 times to different tourists who weren't able to figure out what the signs said. You figure you want to attract tourists, maybe have the signs in at least 2 languages! We will definitely go back, but will bring my own frozen water bottles ( just as good as ice ) and won't be buying anything...
