This hidden gem of a dog park was an amazing experience for me and my dog! He’s never had an opportunity to go swimming and therefore doesn’t know that he can! Everyone who was there with experienced pups offered support and advice on how to get him in the water. Some gentlemen even got in the water with him to coax him off the rocks! The folks who go here are kind and loving people who have kind and loving dogs. So if your pup isn’t friendly, please find another swimming hole or ensure your dog is always on leash if aggressive. There are several signs around the area that indicate dogs must be leashed. Although swimmers are off leash for obvious reasons, it is expected that owners be mindful of their dogs and how they interact with other dogs and owners. It’s a great summer spot so let’s keep it that way!

Despite the purification plant on Lemieux Island this is still a nice place to come and visit. Of course it’s dog friendly with all the spaciousness and the ambiance and scenery is very pleasant. There are some nice views for sure. You also get a great view of the Prince of Wales bridge. 👍☺️

Luna loves this place! Free parking and lots of nice dogs to play with. And you don’t have to worry about the heat because of the great swimming spots along the river.

It's very small. Not much to do here but a nice quiet place for a picnic or small area for your dog to walk or run around off leash. Great area if your dog wants to swim but watch out for the current. Only takes about 10min to walk around the whole publicly available space but on a weeknight it was peaceful, the sun was setting, etc. so it...

My friend recommended this spot to let my dog runs around. It's a small secret dog park fenced partly, partly facing the Ottawa river so if your dogs won't swim away it should be good. I went on a Saturday after and there was lots of dogs running around socializing. There's a small parking lot as...
