Great farm for families with young children. The animals are all friendly and well socialized, and there are also seasonal activities to do in addition to seeing the animals. There is feed available to purchase for a reasonable price and most animals can be fed.
For feeding the animals we appreciate that the farm employs a "red light green light" system which is easy for children to understand. Every animal enclosure has a sign with a street light highlighted; Green = Safe to Feed by Hand, Yellow = Drop Food in to Feed, Red = Do Not Feed.
There is a "Kids Barn" on site where the activities change regularly, which is wonderful if you live locally so your child can experience new things each time they visit.
There are toys and areas set up for pretend play, sensory play, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills.
The team who works here is fantastic and have been very kind, hospitable, and informative.
We also love the weekly farmers market (seasonal) and that some vendors come weekly in addition to seeing new vendors regularly.
The attention to detail is also fantastic - to access the animal farm there is a small trail, decorated with miniature doors, mushroom houses, and animal statues with signage saying you are entering a fairy forest. Our child loves seeing all the little houses and truly feels like they are entering some place magical.
*Accessibility - in our experience the farm is completely accessible with a stroller with some light navigation. While the pathways are smooth, there are some light hills, especially between the parking area and the farmers market. The paths are gravel, dirt (hard), wooden boardwalk, and grass. The biggest challenge we have experienced is getting our stroller over the speed bump right before the animal farm entrance but this is only a small...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was really looking forward to our visit but when we arrived I was extremely disappointed, as the description/photos on the website are not accurate. Please note before visiting that there are only three animals the kids can feed - sheep, goats, and llama. This is not a full farm (limited animals to visit). The play areas for toddlers/kids are not as shown online and are very dated/not well kept. Lots of broken pieces and not recommended for smaller kids to play (safety concerns). I was also disappointed to hear that toddlers were the same price as adults for entry to the farm. The wagon ride is not well done. There is nothing to see or do in the ride to keep your little ones interest. This had so much potential but is literally just a short wagon ride into the trail and back (nothing to see on the trail). Lastly, the corn maze is not great for smaller children. They cut all the corn stock down to make the path but do not remove from the path. Makes it every difficult for walking and a hazard for children to run. Please note: you will not be able to take a stroller through the maze. I would not recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give this farm 10 stars, I would. Even as an adult, this place is all smiles and happy for me. I also appreciated learning about the history of the farm. It's a heartwarming experience to visit a place that was once a family's home. I could feel the love and dedication that lived on.
This farm isn't a far drive at all compared to other farms. What I love about it as well is how lowkey and unassuming it is online. It's like a hidden gem. But when you visit, wow, there's so much to see and do! The setup is beautiful, too. Picturesque.
It's a perfect place for families. So many activities for toddlers and kids. Tractor wagon rides, hay to climb, sensory tables, truck toys, vehicles to ride, animals to adore and feed... It really is a fun place for kids. The entertainment factor is there.
I also enjoyed the walk to the farm from the parking; it's sightly and relaxing. It's like a hidden trail. The farm itself is vast and spacious, and so inviting and cozy. Imagine this place in the fall or during Halloween season! We can't wait to return....
