Fantastic Outing! A treasure! There are lots of things to climb on for little ones to bigger kids. See-Saws, hay bales, a corn maze and 1800’s farm buildings for you to explore. There’s kittens, chickens, turkeys, ducks, sheep, goats, pigs and even alpaca to feed. The animals are well cared and enjoy visitors offering ā€œtreatsā€ that you can purchase at the snack shack. You can visit with horses, a mini-horse and cows too! Such a lovely, well kept farm to bring your kids to run and play. End your afternoon with a tractor/hay ride around the property. When you’re done with the animals you can take a walk in the enchanted forest and have a read along while you see some fairy tale friends. Don’t forget to look for the fairy houses along the way! Cash/debit and credit accepted. Pre-purchase your tickets or buy at the entrance. There’s even a gift shop with yummy baked goods and hand-made wares. Such a great place to visit!

Great place to visit with children young and old. A small log farm in our proverbial backyard of South Barrhaven , nestled in the woods off Cedarview. We enjoyed taffy on snow after a hayride out to the bush where the sap was flowing into buckets. All participants were allowed to join in the collection of the sap, which turns out 1 gallon of syrup for every 40 gallons of sap boiled. It takes 80 gallons to produce 1 gallon of taffy and even more to produce the equivalent of 1 gallon of maple flavored cotton candy. All this was described in detail on the ride out to the bush by the wonderful guide. Upon our return from the bush, we walked around the site taking in the historic nature of the Log Farm, from the first family who lived there with 9 children. One could go on, but while the sap is running, get out there for yourself and take your family for a great treat, one that's sweet.

Arrived at open with the family, and got on the tractor / wagon ride early to the sugar shack (not a long wait early after open - recommended since later in the day there was a little bit of a line). Healthy portions of maple taffy ($4 each) and maple cotton candy at the sugar shack, and an opportunity to wander through the woods a bit to collect sap (if you want). My youngest really enjoyed the ride to/from the sugar shack as well as the (messy) sweet treat! A few things to see around the farm, old buildings, play tractor and hay climbing area. The kids loved seeing the animals. Food truck at the entrance if you are hungry. Overall a great experience, and I felt the price was well worth it for the family given the multitude of experiences around the Log Farm. We spent about 2.5 hrs there. Highly recommended. šŸ‘

Great farm for families with young children. The animals are all friendly and well socialized, and there are also seasonal activities to do in addition to seeing the animals. There is feed available to purchase for a reasonable price and most animals can be fed.

For feeding the animals we appreciate that the farm employs a "red light green light" system which is easy for children to understand. Every animal enclosure has a sign with a street light highlighted; Green = Safe to Feed by Hand, Yellow = Drop Food in to Feed, Red = Do Not Feed.

There is a "Kids Barn" on site where the activities change regularly, which is wonderful if you live locally so your child can experience new things each time they visit.

There are toys and areas set up for pretend play, sensory play, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills.

The team who works here is fantastic and have been very kind, hospitable, and informative.

We also love the weekly farmers market (seasonal) and that some vendors come weekly in addition to seeing new vendors regularly.

The attention to detail is also fantastic - to access the animal farm there is a small trail, decorated with miniature doors, mushroom houses, and animal statues with signage saying you are entering a fairy forest. Our child loves seeing all the little houses and truly feels like they are entering some place magical.

*Accessibility - in our experience the farm is completely accessible with a stroller with some light navigation. While the pathways are smooth, there are some light hills, especially between the parking area and the farmers market. The paths are gravel, dirt (hard), wooden boardwalk, and grass. The biggest challenge we have experienced is getting our stroller over the speed bump right before the animal farm entrance but this is only a small...

I was really looking forward to our visit but when we arrived I was extremely disappointed, as the description/photos on the website are not accurate. Please note before visiting that there are only three animals the kids can feed - sheep, goats, and llama. This is not a full farm (limited animals to visit). The play areas for toddlers/kids are not as shown online and are very dated/not well kept. Lots of broken pieces and not recommended for smaller kids to play (safety concerns). I was also disappointed to hear that toddlers were the same price as adults for entry to the farm. The wagon ride is not well done. There is nothing to see or do in the ride to keep your little ones interest. This had so much potential but is literally just a short wagon ride into the trail and back (nothing to see on the trail). Lastly, the corn maze is not great for smaller children. They cut all the corn stock down to make the path but do not remove from the path. Makes it every difficult for walking and a hazard for children to run. Please note: you will not be able to take a stroller through the maze. I would not recommend...

If I could give this farm 10 stars, I would. Even as an adult, this place is all smiles and happy for me. I also appreciated learning about the history of the farm. It's a heartwarming experience to visit a place that was once a family's home. I could feel the love and dedication that lived on.

This farm isn't a far drive at all compared to other farms. What I love about it as well is how lowkey and unassuming it is online. It's like a hidden gem. But when you visit, wow, there's so much to see and do! The setup is beautiful, too. Picturesque.

It's a perfect place for families. So many activities for toddlers and kids. Tractor wagon rides, hay to climb, sensory tables, truck toys, vehicles to ride, animals to adore and feed... It really is a fun place for kids. The entertainment factor is there.

I also enjoyed the walk to the farm from the parking; it's sightly and relaxing. It's like a hidden trail. The farm itself is vast and spacious, and so inviting and cozy. Imagine this place in the fall or during Halloween season! We can't wait to return....
