Great views along the way. Trail is well worn and easy to find your way spring through fall, less defined in winter after the snow falls. Passable in winter but I would recommend ice spikes. It's a steady uphill climb to the saddle then rolling path with a couple of easy rock scrambles to get over. There are 2 nice viewpoints, Poppy Tree lookout is first (I call it that because of the tree that is there with poppies on it), there is a 2nd lookout a little further along and then you head down the hill to the flag and picnic table. Nice views of Okanagan Lake and Okanagan Mountain Park. Approximately 30 mins to the flag with minimal stops, 50 mins if you are taking your time. Parking lot holds 12-15 cars if everyone parks properly. Parking is not allowed outside of this parking lot, in the summer you could be waiting for a spot. There is a portable toilet at the parking area (its not there in the winter). Lots of rock and loose gravel so wear good footwear - no flip flops!

This is a really cool hike and I enjoyed it beautiful view at the top, however the maintainance of this trail is poor and it would be great if the people who are in charge would fix the steps it's so slippery and not safe, nails are exposed and boards are damaged also signs are needed.I only saw 1 sign going up.We need signs to show where we are going.I hope going back will be better.Thank you for reading and responding to the needs.

Excellent hike on the challenging side. Lots of different terrain. Make sure to wear something with a tread. Proper footwear is a necessity on this trail as there are some gravel spots with inclines and can be quite slippery. The views are really special with a beautiful vista of the Okanagan Lake and several gorge sites opposite towards land. This is a must for hikers.... will...
