It was such a unique and comforting experience! I loved the beautiful variety of tulips, and it was nice to see how respectful everyone was while walking between the lanes. We went for Mother’s Day, and it was the perfect way to spend quality time with family and even pick our own tulips. Just one tip, skip the winery! It’s really just a small tent offering three low-quality wines in plastic cups. Definitely not worth the extra cost. Aside from that, everything was wonderful. I definitely recommend visiting in the spring!

we enjoyed the whole experience with friends. the visit to the sunflower field was surprisingly one of the highlights of our trip, as it was so beautiful and lots of photo spots, despite the heat ( we came around noon 🤣). * thank you for taking the time to respond to my question about the pricing on site. (e.i. 4 adults + 1 child = 87.50$) in light of this, im editing my review. thank you very much! 🌻

I’ve been to both the tulip festival and the sunflower festival. When planned properly, it’s a great day and well worth the drive. TBH - I do prefer the sunflower festival. For me, it’s only an hour drive and you can make a day out of it with other activities in the area. I look forward to making this an annual event for the August long weekend.

I really wanted to love this place. I planned a trip to Niagara Falls for May specifically to visit this tulip farm and I was so excited! I purchased tickets for my boyfriend and I in March. We got an email the morning of our reservation explaining that the crops weren’t happy and that Mother Nature hadn’t been kind to the flowers, which we understood. They offered us passes to their sunflower farm in August instead of attending that day OR they said in the email that they had a gift for EVERYONE that chose to visit that day. We live 5 hours away so coming back in August was not an option. I emailed requesting a refund but didn’t hear back until way later in the day, also tried to call and their phones went straight to voicemail, so we decided to drive over to the farm and agreed that we would take the free gifts as it was Mothers Day and we wanted to bring the freebies home to our moms. We got there and were pretty disappointed walking around the fields. The 10 flowers each that we got to pick were already dead, but we tried to make the best of it and enjoy the day. We spent approximately 20 mins at the farm. When we were leaving, they wrapped our flowers and gave me a free gift. When I inquired about my boyfriend receiving his free gift, I was told that the freebie was only for moms.. I let it go and walked to the car, but noticed multiple men also getting the free flowers. I realize it was just free dahlias, but we paid for 2 admissions and it didn’t seem fair to me that we didn’t get 2 gifts, especially because they had so many. I went back up to the kind girl that was working at the gate and asked her for my bf’s free gift and she was going to grab one when the rude blonde with the coral pink yeti cup came up and gave me nothing but attitude, explaining that it is only for moms. I showed her the email and pointed out multiple men that received the free gift, and she argued and argued saying that they were open until 8pm and that every mom that came that day needed to get a free gift. We paid for 2 admissions and decided to still come on the crappiest day of the year to visit the farm. She reluctantly stomped over to the tent, aggressively grabbed a plant, and shoved it into my hands before telling me to “have a GREAT day” in the fakest voice I’ve ever heard, and stomping away. Her co-worker looked embarrassed, and if I were her, I would have been too. This girl was acting like the flowers that they were giving away for free were coming out of her paycheque. Super disappointing. I’m attaching a pic of the email and would love for someone to show me where it states that the free gift was just for moms. The only reason they said that is because the last day of their season just so happened to be Mother’s Day. I held off writing this review because I did receive an email from the owner letting me know that they had processed my refund after the fact. I wasn’t going to share out experience, however, it’s been 2 weeks and I never got my refund. I have emailed to follow up but never got a response. Definitely will not be back and do not recommend. I understand that the crop being crappy was out of their control, but hopefully next year they can hire more friendly staff because the blonde girl ruined the entire experience. We will go to TASC Tulip Farm...

The customer service is EXTREMELY poor at this place and it really just feels like they would rather ignore you than deal with the situation considering you can only get through to them by email and can't call them since it never goes through or their voicemail is full.

We purchased tickets for today, May 12th and just like most people in these reviews, we would be travelling a long distance (2.5 hours each way) to come visit this Tulip farm. The Tulip farm only notified us this morning at 9:21am that the field is no longer in good condition and gave us two options.

A : Come to the field today and also receive a gift from us! or B: we want to offer you a voucher for our sunflower field in August.

They did not even specify what the gift would be so clearly trying to get you to come just to avoid a refund. We learned from other posts via Instagram/reviews that the tulips are 95% dead and not worth at all going to see. When I replied to their email asking for a refund, this is the email I received:

"We are very sorry to disappoint you. There are not a lot in good condition to pick, but you can still get nice pictures in the field! We will be giving visitors a beautiful gift before they leave."

I again had to reply saying a refund is the only acceptable solution considering the circumstances and would assume others would not drive 2.5 hours for a small gift which I believe to be a small pot of flowers after scouring instagram and other reviews.

We finally recieved an email saying they will issue us a refund so i hope that they will actually follow through on this for us and others in the same situation.

I understand that this may be a tough situation for a small business but this could have been avoided by selling tickets in intervals weekly or only for the first 2 weeks if you cannot be sure that they will survive long enough as not only are customers paying for this experience but most are also travelling long distances for this.

Hopefully this business will turn things around but I will be visiting a different Tulip Farm for next time as this is now my second time dealing with this issue. Last year, the tulips were also dying well before the last date available on their site and most died on the way home before making it there. It is a shame since other tulip farms seemed to have been able to preserve their tulips much longer and are still in better shape than here.

*Also, please note that if you decide to change your date you will be charged $5 or more without notice in the email. It is in their terms and conditions somewhere on their site but you'd think they could at least notify you in the email that there will be a $5 charge automatically taken from your card to be completely transparent. I would assume anyone receiving an email saying "no problem, we will change that for you," and nothing regarding additional charges would assume that it is free to change the date. Again, transparency and good business practices is an issue with customer...

First off my mothers day time slot at the JP tulip field was for 10:30am if I could have give it a no star to leave a review I would have but I have to put something to leave a review so the one star. First field opened at 9:30 am we got there for 10:30am so first thing in the morning they should have been clean but the toilets (portables) were beyond disgusting, toilet paper, pee & poop, and all kinds of stuff all over the toilets & floors so nobody cleaning them at all and when was the last time they were cleaned is beyond me it was first thing in the morning and Mother’s day! We were supposed to be able to pick at least 10 tulips 20 total included with our $48 ticket for 2 total, but we me walked the whole field are couldn’t even find one tulip between the two of us to pick there was barely any colour anywhere to be found, everything was rotten, broken, burnt falling apart or had no tops, lots hadn’t even bloomed yet and most weren’t even very tall…need I go on. we received a email at 9:20am to late we had already left to go there. It stated the field were not what they were hoping or up to par…but after what we seen what should have happened was a full refund for everyone and the field should have been closed. There is no way this happened over night none, also other fields near buy were beautiful and fine… so what happened here just this one and overnight..? Come on! Also when showed up we were told same thing as in email that I received when i returned home very upset and unhappy …but that we would receive a complementary gift upon exiting which we also did not get…but I was so disgusted at that point I really didn’t care that they didn’t hand anything out as we left through the same doors that we came in, there was no gift being handed out or a stand say complementary gift please take one nothin! The email was to late and not close to what should have happened like field closed full refund. We couldn’t even take a phone it was so bad.The ground was so dry it was like hard uneven chunk clay everywhere hard to walk on or balance on. I would never go here again or any field having to do with them again feel it was just a money grab with no compensation or real solution. I just want a full refund. Update all owners response's are the same copied and pasted no refunds and this didn’t happen overnight don’t know how to post the pictures I took but if i figure it out i’ll post then!!! Unexceptionable across the board it’s a Money grab money scam with absolutely no customer service and no acceptable ...
