Ski Sommet Olympia — Attraction in Piedmont

Charging 30$ for a day pass of touring is a joke, this « hill » basically only has 2 touring trails.

The season pass is also 139$ which makes no sense. They have doubled the price since 2020, probably to pay for the new chairlift that you won’t be using since you are climbing…Greed at it’s best.

Keep in mind that most places charge 10-15$ for a day pass (with more trails too and higher hills). When you go touring, you only need access to a trail, you buy expensive equipment not to use the facilities and chairlifts, so this price can’t be justified.

I used to go there since it was nearby, but I won’t be encouraging them anymore. You’re better off climbing elsewhere.

Love this Ski mountain, only a few min away, fast lifts great runs and some awesome runs, great family ski and a good mix of challenges for new and expert downhillers! Great skiing for beginners and intermediates. Lots of green and blue trails. But also there is a whole black diamond section that I never use for the experienced. Not very crowded usually.
