If you are from downtown Montreal or are a visitor to the city, you may detered (and detoured!) from making the drive to Stewart Hall - given the construction clogged traffic along Highway 20. That being said, the trip is certainly worth it. The building itself is like an old manor house. Located on Lakeshore Boulevard next to the glistening water (on a sunny day) it is like a well-kept vision from a time gone by. There are usually at least two art exhibitions on at any given time. Read moreI love Stewart Hall! Its one of those stately old homes thats been donated to the city to be used as a Cultural building built right beside the St Lawrence River..and its so beautiful! There is a third floor art gallery that changes about 3 or 4 times a year. Plus the hallway on the 2nd floor is a permanent art collection. The library on the 2nd floor has rentable art and info, books, etc. The grounds outside are also artistic display areas.
