It is a conservation area with 3 trails of different lengths around a shallow lake that various water birds inhabit. Bring your camera for some long shots. On rainy days have your rubber boots ready. My pictures were only taken with my tablet which wasn't great for getting good shots of the birds swimming on the lake. Not a wheelchaír friendly hike.

Very nice conservation area for nature watching, walking, and relaxing. Paths are not well maintained, so it does get muddy if it's been wet (it is called Mud Lake, right?). You need to be tick aware as well. Check your legs and your pets thoroughly. Biggest down side is the constant noise from the plant next to it. Sigh.

Very easy hike, no major hills good for people of all ages. Bring boots its a muddy hike. I have heard major problems with ticks in the warmer months, can not confirm that as I have only been during the colder season.

Do not recommend bringing a stroller. Very few scenic views and the few there are are quite poor. Could be opened up with a hedge-trimmer at points to make it a bit nicer for people to see. Even the ones in front of benches aren’t great. Had to keep walking the whole time because of bugs and horseflies. A nice nature hike, but not what I was expecting from...

It would have been pretty if it had been better maintained or groomed, a shame for sure. We couldn't really finish any of the loops from the map as some had too much mud, others had too much high grass we were sure we'd catch a ton of ticks. Had to duck and weave around bushes and overhead growth. It did have free parking for a few cars which I...

These trails need some immediate maintenance. I was there today and and some areas are seriously overgrown. They also have to do something to stop motor cycles/Atv's from entering the trails from the canal area. They are making a mess of the east portion of the trail. The conservation authority needs to step it up when you compare Mud Lake to...
