Quatse Salmon Stewardship Centre — Attraction in Port Hardy

Excellent welcome and a very interesting tour, which we were lucky enough to have in French thanks to Patrick. We learned a lot about salmon, how the hatchery works, and its essential role in preserving the salmon. Don't miss this tour if you're in Port Hardy; it's a must-do. This is a clean, pretty little campground. The sites are all separated by at least some trees, the showers and laundry were joy inducing after a week on the trail. Lovely spot by the river. camping and trails for a nature walk, as well as the hatchery were all closed due to covid-19, but I would love to come back to see them when everything's back up...
