There are two trails . One has been closed for two years . The claim Is it needs work but the work is minor and during a pandemic the value of outside spaces should ensure these spaces are opened . What it needs is to have the long grasses on the path cleared . The other trail was not cleared until mid August . Plus the plover beach is still closed . The best part of the walk is that huge beach . That could be roped off above the tide line so people can enjoy the beach but instead they close the entire beach for almost the entire summer . They patrol and ticket you . That resource person could be roping off the area above the tide instead of patrolling. Plus even the cleared path now is narrow . Ticks are a huge issue why do we still have to walk through tall grasses??? Very disappointing to arrive there and not have...

From the highway you drive along a gravel road to the parking lot of the national park. The National Park at Seaside does not charge an entrance or parking fee. There is also no ranger. Once there, there is an information board with a brochure and warning signs about the animals. One walks through a path to the beach. To the right and left of the path is brush. After a little less than 20 minutes you are on the beach. In front of the beach there is a viewing platform with a view of the beach. The paths are well paved. Unfortunately, we did not walk the whole circuit, because we had a light mosquito plague. We have found bear tracks along the way. Had the mosquitoes not been so many we would have definitely spent more time there and also we would have walked...

It's a gorgeous piece of land. The facilities are typical of what you'd find in a government park and were in good shape. There is plenty of wildlife, everyone is very friendly, and lots to enjoy. The two adirondack chairs on the rock are a very nice touch. Wear bug repellent and don't expect a lot of shade. Beautiful sandy beach if you want to bring a blanket to sit on.

The only disappointing thing is the road to get to the park. The signage was poor, but the pavement/dirt road was in horrendous condition. Compared to the roads at the inland Keji site or Highlands National Park, it's quite appalling. They alone are a -2 stars for me. I wouldn't take a car that I liked if I were...

This is an outstanding natural reserve. The beautifulness of this place is unbelievable. For the first mile or so you will walk across a nice, wind brushed area of bushes before the view opens up to a stunning Atlantic ocean. Best is to take the hike to the Harbour Rocks Trail (5km return) which will likely also reward you with seal sightings. Make sure you continue beyond the lookout point with the two red Muskoka chairs onto the white beach which makes this hike perfect. Be aware that facilities are limited to a dump toilet close to the beach and apparently black bear encounters are rather common.

Embarking on a long-distance walk from inland to the ocean shore can be a rejuvenating experience. Spending time in the wilderness is essential for our physical and mental well-being. This park is known for its unique properties and imperfections. As a nature enthusiast, I prefer this park because it's quiet and not crowded. The tranquillity of this place is truly remarkable, and the white sand maintains its powdery texture as it touches your feet. This is the best National Park for recreational activities, whether you prefer inland or seaside adventures.
