Réserve Naturelle des Montagnes-Vertes, secteur Singer — Attraction in Potton

Nice spot. I went to Fullerton Pond this time. About a 7 km round trip. Did it in mid winter. Mostly up hill on the way there and downhill obviously in the way back. 400 foot Mason dam is what I was going to see turns. Turns out it is an old dam about 1917. It has been upgraded in the center. Nice trail but be very very careful near the main road (Chemin Ruiter Brook) during the week. Multiple (heavy) dump trunks full of gravel travel up and down this (downhill) road from the gravel pit area where the road ends back to town multiple times per day until about 5pm. They go very fast and I doubt they could stop if they wanted to. Local residents are very familiar...

The trails are well-maintained, there’s a small parking lot, and the area is wonderfully quiet — perfect for soaking in the peace of nature.
