I appreciate the effort put into making exploration place an inclusive part of the community as well as the history. However, a few of the staff members were very unfriendly to the moms I was with and to our children. The issues I have are small but unfortunately they deter us from returning or wanting to re-purchase a membership.

First, no outside drinks...while I understand the premise this is an unrealistic expectation. We just visited Science world, not one single staff member scolded us for having a coffee in hand or for whipping out a child's granola bar while we browse.

Second, taking shoes off on the slide. This was never an issue before? My daughter was unable to slide with them on...the only thing she wanted to play in (she is a preschooler).

Third, my older children (within reason) would walk ahead excitedly to view things...this is not allowed either. Again, this was never an issue before? I understand if they are being disrespectful, disruptive or breaking things, etc. but looking at things without touching or just reading?

Lastly, my kids were unhappy with all the rules and lack of play space. They kept bringing up the old play space and they were bored after about 20min. Again, these are just my personal reasons, I want to mention there were other staff members we encountered who were friendly. Overall, I do hope one day a play space will be added for kids to be kids...maybe then we will return.

Thank you for your reply, my intention with writing the review was to provide helpful suggestions. I do hope policies are changed/adjusted, because there are many families who miss the "old exploration place experience". Thank you...

I thought about checking this place out but after today I will make sure not to ever spend money at this place ever nor anyone close to me. My husband and I decided to take a nice stroll in the park because the weather was so nice. I had to go to the bathroom really bad and all the bathrooms in the park were shut down for the year. I had to rush to this place hoping not to have an accident and I understand about not having washrooms for the public so I was willing to pay so as not have an accident but to get in they were going to charge me for a full day rate to get in and this was 30 minutes before closing so even if I wanted to get my money's worth before closing I couldn't. So my husband didn't want to pay for me to go to the bathroom. I just hope the people running this place gets stranded without a toilet someday and has...

I had a few hours free in PG, and always like to visit museums so I stopped in. The museum is gears more towards kids, and is smaller which is normal for a regional one. But it was still worth a stop.

The exhibits were varied with some interesting topics and information. However they need to work a bit more on readability as there was several areas too poorly lit to read the information signs. Also in Place of Learning the choice of black lettering on a dark brown background makes for difficult readability.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, there is a lovely area to sit and drink a coffee from their cafe and a small gift shop. It was very quiet on a Friday morning and I spent about 1.5 hours, including stopping for a drink.

I would recommend a visit if you have free time especially if you have...

I must say, after looking for a place to visit in PG, this is something I found on Google, and it was worth going in for. You can go in and enjoy the beautiful views. There are live and small-scale animals and sculptures of wild and big animals that almost look real. Their way of presentation inside is something to look for. If you are traveling to pg, then your 30 to 60 min inside this place is well worth it. I enjoyed visiting this place and its ambiance. If you have kids, definitely take them here. They are going to enjoy this.

This museum was a great experience 😃 at the reception, you get a display of dinosaur skeletons #fake 🦖🦕 but still a lot realistic on proportions and detailed. Mr PG is always a pleasure to see 🙈 as well as checking on his story, at least for the metal version, which was lost for about 10 years 😞, but it found its way back 🏠 Upon everything, I loved a lot the Lheidli T'enneh display (artifacts and history). Thank you for welcoming us 😊

This place is amazing. A total gem to Prince George. There are so many interacive and miltisensory displays keeping the kids happy, entertained, and learning. Employees like Konrad take this experience to the next level. I loved his joy and enthusiasm. He taught us so much. Thank you, Konrad! If you are thinking about going, do it, you will not be disappointed.
