For a city, I guess the beach is okay. Pretty sad that you can’t even swim there because the water is so polluted. On any day that has nice enough weather to head down, you’re not the only one with that plan and the parking is generally always full unless you get lucky.

So then we decided to bike the next time so parking wasn’t a problem.. but for some ridiculous reason, bikes are not allowed in the park??? And you cannot even walk with them- WALK! We’re all trying to be greener and more environmentally friendly and you cannot even walk with a bike in the park..

And! And I can’t make this up. You’re not allowed to hang a hammock in the park 😂 it causes zero damage to a tree, and we’re just trying to be immersed in nature, and that’s not even allowed. But there was no issue with the person next to us smoking 👍🏽

I think parks should be about getting people out and into nature as naturally as possible and with all of these rules it’s just sad, and Society has...

Created in 1992, Parc de la Plage-Jacques-Cartier is one of the only public wooded areas on the St. Lawrence River, stretching out along its banks for over 3.7 km. One of the park’s hiking trails connects to the Cap-Rouge aquatic park. The site boasts a narrow marine terrace, strand, and sea cliff offering panoramic views of the river. There’s also sugar maple–red oak transition forest prized for the impressive size of its trees, as well as three red oak–sugar maple stands designated as exceptional forest ecosystems due to...

Beautiful parc next to the Saint Laurent river, there is plenty of space to enjoy, great views, trail for running/walking and lots of green areas. It its also a great place to enjoy the sunsets! It is also conected to the marina and you can walk along the 'beach' (its called like this by locals) Bathrooms available! Parking available before 8pm

Great little park tucked on the bank of the St. Lawrence waterway. Plenty of sandy beach where dogs are allowed, and a nice walkway that is level and well maintained. The bathrooms were clean, and so was the entire park. Fair amount of people and some dogs on a weekday fall morning, but plenty of parking.
