Enjoyed the fall scenery of the conservation area. The driveway to get into a small parking lot is quite tight if you have opposing traffic. Ended up taking a trail off to the right of the main walkway to burn some extra energy with our dogs. I was shocked with how steep it was getting up the narrow pathway. Luckily the dogs helped pull us up. Don't think I'd take that trail up again as I was very winded by the time I got to the tower. It was quite the work out. The views from up top though are beautiful with the rolling farmland and trees. If you take the main trail it has stairs and is a much easier and shorter route from the parking lot. It's nice that this is free, a place in Algonquin just started charging for their...

My dog and I love hikes. This one was a nice steep incline up to the tower with lots of steps... Nature trails surrounding this main tower, quite a beautiful area. I may leave my pup at the bottom in the future. He managed to get up the grated steps to enjoy the view- I think it was a little spooky going down and strange on his paws lol... Nonetheless we did it! Proud of us. Great view here. There is a donation box at the bottom of the tower for the conservation area. Please take garbage with...

The climb is a killer. But the view is pretty nice. There are posters up to guide you for what you're looking at with facts included. You can see the Consecon water tower as well as the Campbellford tower and a couple rivers. The view is pretty nice. Worth standing up there for a while to take it all in. If you don't mind the drive, I refer travelling to Eagles Nest in Bancroft. That view is...

We went on a very foggy day but had the place to ourselves, and the view was breathtaking!!! Even spotted a few Eastern Towhees! Once you reach the top of the tower, there are informative signs in every direction that have some interesting facts to read about Can't wait to return in the future, especially during the fall! Definitely would recommend
