Meenan's Cove Beach — Attraction in Quispamsis

Great place to spend an afternoon with family or for relaxing alone! There is a playground for smaller children to one side. There are a few sheltered picnic areas with charcole BBQ stands, first come, first serve. A ball field is located in front. A small trail for walking and enjoying nature with a charming mini wooden covered bridge. There is a boat dock and slip. The beach is maintained and has a lifeguard on duty in the summer months. Hours are posted when in season. Check with local authorities on swimming notices ahead of time for water quality. Dogs are welcomed on a leash and may swim outside the designated areas that are indicated by floating barriers. Washrooms are located in the back of the building, ground level. There is also a portable washroom next to the playground. The parking lot is easy and spacious. The only reason this isn't a five-star rating is that I couldn't find a water fountain for a child who didn't have a bottle with them. When I went into the bathroom, there were no signs stating if the water was potable. There were no staff visible or when searched for to ask. It's always your own responsibility to have water with you and stay hydrated. However, in the case of a child not being prepared, having signage to assist would have been beneficial. The washrooms are spotless, which is a huge benefit for families and anyone spending the day there. There's also plenty of parking available, so you never have to worry about finding a spot.
