Today is the first time we go to CanWest farm for blueberry picking and will be the last as well. For all the years my family do blueberry picking in Richmond, today is the first time that I was charged for the admission fee. When I asked what's the admission fee for, the guy said because they have the best blueberries. In honest comparison, the blueberries are so so. They are neither bigger nor sweeter compare to the other farms that we went before. When I asked why it's not in their website abut the fee, he said it's probably not updated. So I asked when when did they start charging the admission fee, he said "just today." Dahh... I didn't find any sign anywhere about the admission fee even on the U pick signage. I don't quite understand why they charge $3 per adult. That's the cost for 2 lbs of blueberries you pick. So unless an adult can eat 2 lbs of berries while you pick, then it's worth to pay the fee. Otherwise, a rip off as for my personal opinion. if I knew about the admission fee, I could have just buy the picked one in the box for it cost about the same with no...

This is one of the worst blueberry farms that I have ever been to. First of all, the staff here is terrible. I went blueberry picking on BC day and when I arrived in the morning the staff looked almost annoyed that I was here to pick blueberries. The South Asian male kept acting superior and annoyed. Almost as if he didn’t want to talk or deal with me.

Furthermore, when I was looking at the cherries the male staff member was rolling his eyes at two women who clearly did not understand English. He did not bother trying to explain the instructions of the blueberry picking, but basically yelled at the women inferring that they were stupid. Later on, when he handed a refund to them he SLAMED it on the table. I have never seen such horrible customer service.

In conclusion, the blueberries were small and the staff that was there that day were terrible. I will never come back or recommend this farm. This was a...

I feel like such a sucker. Terrible products. Read the reviews and thought it would be a good place to go. The farmers market is nothing more than a corner store with cheap products. I bought a bag of Okanagan cherries but they must have been D grade or something. Half the bag was rotten. Couldn't see it was that bad because it looked good on the outside (bad ones were hidden in the middle). Just washed them all and threw half of them into the compost. Moldy, half rotten, etc... Just gross. Also bought Okanagan apricots and they were mostly sour. Again, i'm stuck thinking they bought low grade products and pawned them off in their in house 'farmers market'. Finally, bought a case of blueberries. Decent product but the case I bought elsewhere were definitely better. My wife was the first to comment that last year's case was much sweeter. overall, very...

We went for u-pick blueberries with friends today. We came with our own basket. You can either bring your own container or purchase their cardboard box for a loonie. The staff will weigh the container before you start. The u pick blueberries was $2.75/lbs. The blueberries were pretty big, and they're very tasty, too. I happened to see the blueberries harvest machine for the first time, and it cleared many lanes of the blueberries.Hence, make sure you check if they still have berries if you're heading there. Overall, the picking experience went really well, with lots of fresh blueberries to pick. The berries were big and tasty.Price is reasonable. The staff was friendly. Limited parking was available with a faucet for hand washing on site.

super nice watermelon!!! Got this on 20th and opened it the night of the 21st. i have no experience picking watermelons, just picked the biggest one and gave to the worker at the farm. The worker carried the watermelon too (as i placed it on the wrong scale, she had to carry it to another one), but i was NOT told that this watermelon was completely watery inside and i should change it. don’t have the receipt so not getting a refund either lollll other photos can prove i was there (went strawberry picking w friend and got watermelon after we finished strawberry picking) if u don’t know how to pick fruits, don’t make the same mistake as me! Don’t go to this farm to get scammed!!

The fruit quality is very good, U-Pick Strawberries are still in season and were $3 a pound. Blueberries were more expensive at $4 a pound but the experience is always fun so we are personally okay with that. The only issues are that the paths for picking blueberries are overgrown and uneven in places so be wary. Also they did not subtract the weight of our containers which were a bit heavy. Perhaps a bad choice on our part but still more costly than necessary.
