This play environment is an absolute gem for kids who love to climb, slide, and explore. The variety of play equipment is impressive, from rope courses and climbing logs to ziplines and tall slides. There is something to challenge and delight children of all ages. The design is thoughtful and feels far removed from the usual plastic playgrounds. It uses natural materials and imaginative layouts that really engage the senses and spark creativity.
The space is large so even on busy days it rarely feels overcrowded. There is plenty of room for running around and exploring different zones, alongside walking trails with stunning views of the river and mountains. The atmosphere is vibrant but relaxed making it easy for parents to watch over their kids while enjoying some fresh air.
That said, parking can get a bit hectic during peak times so arriving early or mid-week can make for a smoother experience. Also, a little more seating with shade near the picnic areas would be a welcome addition, especially on sunny days. While the playground equipment is sturdy and well made, some of the more popular attractions like the ziplines occasionally have sections closed for maintenance.
Overall, it is a top-notch place for active kids who want a real adventure outdoors. A few minor inconveniences aside, this play park nails the balance of fun, challenge, and natural beauty. It is definitely worth a visit and easy to...

Read moreTerra Nova Adventure Playground has got to be one of the finest playground for children in all of the Great Vancouver region. On sunny days this place can get packed rather quickly with kids clamoring to hop on the two zip lines or to climb the rope web that leads to the top of the three-story high treehouse. For those adults who are also adventurous enough to follow your little tykes up to the top, the view from the top of the tower is nothing short of breathtaking. On a clear day you can see the gleaming waters of the Pacific Ocean, the snow-capped peaks of Vancouver’s mountains off in the distance, and also all the lush vegetation that surrounds this park. There are multiple stations available for kids to play at, so it is rather difficult for them to get bored. On occasion, an ice cream truck might roll into the parking lot so that you can snag some cool treats to help you and your kiddos beat the heat. Overall, the park is excellent, however, be warned that the closest bathrooms are Port-A-Potties. Although placards on site declare the city’s intent to construct better bathroom facilities, you will simply have to make do with the jiffy johns—which unfortunately might be overflowing with waste or lacking in toilet tissue. Overall, an excellent place for families...
