We were lucky enough to have Ken Watson as our tour guide. Ken has a long history of involvement with the restoration of the old stone mill, and of helping to research some of the natural artifacts that have been uncovered. He has a wealth of knowledge about the Stone Mill and local context of the period. Very informative. I recommend the mill tour as a way of taking a step back in time, and of orienting yourself to the settler history of the area. In the future I'd like to hear more emphasis on how the indigenous history and ways of life shaped the local landscape and the settler presence, including the mill. Do yourself a favor -- definitely stop here for a local tour...
   Read moreWe are so happy that we stopped in Delta to check out this historic place. The staff were very well informed, dressed in period costumes, and charming. You may see a couple of folks just hanging out in the gift shop near the entrance, they're usually members of the restoration group, and full of fun facts.
