It’s very disturbing how quickly this once beautiful park went spiralling downward. From the disgusting, unkept mouse infested bathrooms to the camper destroying washboard on the entrance/exit road this poor park has absolutely lost its former lustre.
Our family have been regulars at this park for near 10 years for our annual family vacation, making the trek from Yorkton. We’ve watched this park slowly degrade over the last 3-4 years to a point where we will no longer be coming back.
The water services within the sites and park including shower houses, although labeled as non-potable, aren’t useful for anything but watering grass as it muddy river water.
Our grandchildren used to enjoy the clean, safe swimming area which is now reduced to a stagnant, weed and thorn filled lagoon not fit for dogs to swim in. We attempted to swim around the boat launch but were met with near hostility from locals trying to bring their boats in and out.
The concession was one of the only things that saved our trip as it served delicious food at reasonable “lake prices”.

July 2024 - Great park, friendly people. Lake was really low, but we were able to swim/float at the boat ramp. It's very quiet during the week. Full service sites, butbe aware , the water in the taps is lake water- so not potable. There us a potable water tap at the cookhouse, but we didn't know until we were set up. The manager was happy to have some campers come over with the water truck to fill us up. Gravel roads to the campground are a but much but the park and people are worth it. Ruben and Cillian you are doing an absolutely wonderful job. It being a long weekend you took care of everything. The place was packed. Garbage always picked up and the washrooms always clean. And firewood brought to the campsites that's a bonus. Even the concession was on top of things. Ryan you did a great job for as many people as you had to serve. The food is always good.
