Very beautiful and rustic reserve with many 4WD roads. We saw many moose in the reserve. The campsites are very clean and well maintained with proper tree cover. So no worries about shade in a hot summer day. The washrooms are clean and have hot showers. The picnic area is well maintained too.
Although we had no idea that wildlife reserves are basically places where you can hunt wild animals. We were unhappy about it but anyway we are happy to see wildlife and spend some time in nature. There are many hiking trails but we didn’t see anyone hiking and the trails weren’t maintained so we didn’t dare to go. Read moreAbsolutely BREATHTAKING camping experience, however; be AWARE that the drive to the Trout section (Étang à la Truite) requires a 40km drive on gravel logging roads. It is a beautiful drive if you have an adequate vehicle (4X4), however if you don’t have a good off-roading car, the hour drive may take you upwards of two due to maintaining a slow pace to ensure your car does not get damaged.
Other than that, the amenities are spotless, the campsites are stunning, and the peace and quiet is priceless!

Read moreIt was the end of the fishing season in 2023, at first I was thinking prices were too expensive but after seeing the chalet, wow looked like it was a 5 star hotel, amazing place and animals that we saw were coyotes, partridges and mooses we also caught some fishes, nothing special. In my mind this reserve faunique is more for hunting than fishing. Prices are fair😘👍. Yes we will go back, but it's too far from Montreal 😢.
