Wow, what a great adventure. Had to check this place out while visiting Kirkland lake and definitely worth the drive. Was the only one up the mountain the day I visited, and what a truly spectacular lookout at the top. For its length it's probably the most challenging climb I've experienced that's an actual trail, ropes and all. A must see for the experienced climber!

Read moreThe road was washed out on the way there but we could easily get over the wash out on foot. The climb wasnt too steep at the start. We followed a creek and thankfully someone marked the trail up with some white paint marks. The climb got a little more difficult near the top but a person with average athletic abilities can easily get up to the top. The higher you go the more challenging it gets, but the top is worth the effort for the phenomenal view. Not a hike for kids or someone afraid of heights.
