I think it definitely depends on which site you book here, some of them seemed quite crowded and lacking privacy, but the lots 24 and up in section 2 seemed great, and much more isolated from the heavily occupied and wild RV/Electrified sites at the entrance of the grounds.
The private walk outs to the beach were very grown in, and the sites are mostly infested with squirrels that like to chew through your garbage bags. Bathrooms leave some cleanliness to be desired. The lake is extremely murky, you can't see the bottom as soon as you put your foot into the water it disappears into the green water. But it is very shallow, for miles. So not to worry, you won't suddenly drop into deep water. It's about knee deep for a very long time. There is also a trail you can walk through. It leads you through the marshes with a chance to stop and view the fields from a short 5-6 foot tall watch tower. It was also very grown in but the breeze was nice when you manage to catch some of it.
Showers... Only 2 stalls are available, at the entrance of the campground. Just bring a portable shower bag and wash up at the rear section of your site if you're in section 2. The trees provide a ton of privacy there. All in all, the privacy of our particular site, low bug count, and beautiful sunset made the grounds worth visiting. There is not much to do out here but you will get your fill of nature and reduced screen time while...
Read moreLundar is known for its beautiful sunset. we stayed in one of the premium site(21). It has trail to the beach and we experienced the shoreline tenting. sounds of the waves, pelicans and other birds were our lulaby at night. Peaceful campground. Water and electricity on site. Shallow beach where kids can enjoy swimming or kayaking. However, Lundar beach experience will be better IF those millions of fish flies are not around. They dont bite its annoying so we didnt enjoy so much staying outside the tent. If only there is a mitigation plan for these flies to be eradicated or at least lessen their presence then it will be highly...
Read moreI have not stayed here for camping myself, but have visited others while they were staying here. We really enjoyed ourselves. The campsites are decently sized, some even right next to the beach. There is also a playground that my 6 year old loved. The public areas are nice as well, lots of semi-private areas with picnic tables. The beach is big enough that you can always find a spot to set up. The lake is shallow for a long way out, no deeper than your waist, but it's very rocky with soft mud in a few places. Highly recommend water shoes. This is our go-to beach when we are in the area, never had a...
