Cormier's Berry Patch — Attraction in Rural Municipality of Macdonald

Nothing beats local Manitoba strawberries, and you can take that to the bank.

Only a short drive from Winnipeg, Cormier's Berry Patch has a large, well maintained field, with ample space for picking. Numerous staff throughout the property help guide and assist you when you arrive. The fields are lined with straw used as mulch, but it doubles as protection from the mud. This was very evident as we arrived just minutes after a thunderstorm where the surrounding area was completely soaked. However, the straw kept my families footwear from becoming caked in mud.

Their hours are updated daily on the website, and I would not travel without checking these. We had planned for one day but they had cancelled the night before to allow the plants to recover.

This was our 1st time ever picking strawberries and it was such a great experience. Not too far from home. Clean outhouses. Handwriting station. Rides back to your vehicle from the fields with your berries. Free parking. Very friendly team who run the place. We have gone back 3 times since then. And will continue to go every year! Great price too. By the way....you get more in one of the boxes they give you. We measured with an ice cream Pail. And you get more into a box. :)...

We have been visiting this very special location for the past several years, with our grandchildren. Its a wonderful experience for all ages, picking Farm fresh Strawberries, organic, lots of parking, great customer service, excellent staff assisting the seasoned picker to the first timer.
