We had a great time. Easy to park, rent equipment, rent a locker. The kids had a blast on the ski hill. Lots of runs open. They had the "Squirrel" Chair lift 4 seater and the "Porcupine" 3 seater lifts open. They didn't have "The Bear" 3 seater lift open which is the furthest east on the hill as it looked like not enough snow on those slopes... Park Ave run is the furthest east which I believed we skied down. The bunny hill also had the moving conveyor belt to take beginners up to learn, and they had a trick park for those who wanted to hit some rails and some jumps. (Sadly I don't want to injured myself as an adult now, but they looked like fun) Regardless, we still had a great time. The only drawback was the prices. $245 as of March 2022 for lift tickets and rentals for 1 adult, 2 (6-12yo) kids. I would have come back another day but I didn't want to spend that again for a second day, plus hotel lodging and food. The trip cost me something like $600-700 each night+food+ activities per day skiing. We had a great time, and almost came back a second day, but body aches and justifying it to my wallet held me back and we checked out of Russel Inn 1 day early. We ended up hitting up another hotel in Portage La Prairie that had a nice pool and waterslide with our savings on our way back. Win win for...

It is a very nice park, nestled in a beautiful valley. In the campground, most of the sites are very well treed. A great spot to go camping for sure. I would definitely recommend bays 1&2 as they are more consistent with what you usually see in a provincial park campground. Ie: nicer showers, more trees, bigger sites. If you are going to stay in bay 5, make sure you check out the satellite view in maps, because not all of the sites are treed in. I can not recommend the beach, because it is covered in foxtails. It seems like more of a boating/fishing lake. There are also loads of hiking trails to explore, it really is hard to not have fun...

I loved this place and so did the kiddos. It was well worth the drive and we will do it again. In August the water was a bit chilly but swimming is a must. We rented a yurt and it was an excellent choice. The facility is well kept except for the hiking trails. The scenery is amazing. They have playgrounds and a restaurant. Thank you Manitoba Parks for a well done job.

If you're there drive around and explore the area and the dam ((good fishing there)). We drove up the 482 and turned to Kilman resort. As we were driving out of that area a black bear junior crossed the road in front of us. We waited for mother bear but she...

We got to explore three trails and spent some time at the concession and mini-golf, which were great. Nice playground by the concession as well. Two downsides: the beach isn’t great, and I don’t think many people swim there because the water is gross and has some runoff slime if some kind. Secondly, the park definitely needs some updates and care in places, and it seems funding for staff, etc. is short (which is the province’s doing) Nice park, definitely worth a visit though.

Great camping sites, very private and large amount of space for large camper and more. Bit of a walk to park store, beach or dock. Take bikes. Decent trail system cut thru bushes everywhere. Store sold hot, cold food, ice cream snacks, minor fishing tackle, worms and frozen minnows. Free firewood which was great. Bears, deer, fishing, campsite gophers and squirels. Overall an above average park to enjoy.
