Beckwith Park — Attraction in Saanich

We needed a gathering spot on short notice to accommodate 25 people. Beckwith was perfect as it was on the way to the ferries. There were people of all ages, we arrived around 2pm and had no problem getting a picnic table close to the sports field. The washrooms were clean. The grass wasn't too long (we had brought a blanket and some camping chairs as well) and we had shade from a couple large trees. The splash pad was not functioning, but that did not bother us. The parking lot wasn't too busy so no problem finding parking either. The out of town guests commented that the park was very nice and a great choice for our picnic...

Huge park, playground for kids, bathroom facilities for women and men as well. Parent's room is also available. Good place for family with small kids. You can have a family picnic here as well. Bring your picnic clothes to spread on the nice green grass or use the picnic tables. Don't forget to bring snack and drinks as well. Tons of parking on the beckwith street and some 15 to 20 spots within the park entrance.

A good place to hang out. Kids friendly. In summer, they have some water splash too, in the kids park. A big foot ball ground. A basketball court and 2 tennis courts. And washrooms!! I have seen people playing volleyball too in some area of the park. Only downside according to me is that, you can't watch your kids at the park, from the tennis court as there is thick bush blocking the view; but for some others it would serve as a...
