Nice tour, our guide was knowledgeable and you could tell she was passionate about it. There is a bus tour on the airbase, we were lucky enough to see a globemaster, a hercules landing and also a few alphajets and f18 during their training.

The rest of the tour was also interesting, learning about the history of Canadian air defence and there is also a outdoor space with many aircrafts that we can see up close.

I gave 4 stars because although I really enjoyed the tour, we were lucky to see that many aircrafts and our experience could have been different on another day where there was no training or special...

A stop at the Air Defence Museum was a great addition to our vacation in the Saguenay Fjord/Lac St. Jean vacation. We were not aware of the rich aviation history in the region. Interesting tour of the base but what you see really depends on what is going on at the base at the time (and tough to see through the decaled windows). Very cool and interesting outdoor exhibit - great collection of planes....esp to the military buff in our group. Enjoyed the indoor exhibits and the simulator as well. Our english guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Very much worth a minor detour and a...

Small but well put together and a good static display of post WW2 aircraft. You will whip round the main exhibits so allow around 45 minutes for this maximum. There are guided tours of the museum which we skipped and also a bus tour of the operational airfield which we didn’t have time for. Points for effort offering a kids activity and the staff were friendly and good with the children. Worth a small detour rather than a specific trip but a good museum.
