I don't usually leave a comment but for this one I will hopefully to give a heads up to those who are planning to visit. We stayed in a cabin through L'accueil Bouteille, its really beautiful and got the lake for ourselves. We had so much fun with fishing, paddle boat and canoeing. It could have been perfect if not for the road. I understand it is a gravel road but the deeper you go into the park the worst the roads are. If you are careful and just drive slowly sedan cars and minivans are doable as long as it is sunny but be aware that there will be no one there and no signal so you have to consider it in case you get stuck. If you do not have an all wheel drive or 4x4 dont go there on rainy days. But if the gravel road do not bother you then I would highly recommend to get the cabin and stay there for at least a week and just disconnect and enjoy the nature. If there will be imporvement with the road would love to go back again and again or if we...

Visited Mastigouche on a Sunday morning and it was incredibly peaceful. we didn't see any other car so be well prepared for emergencies, gravel roads were a bit bumpy, but it added to the adventure, no phone connection or internet. The reserve has an amazing 417 lakes and 13 rivers, offering stunning views and lots of spots to explore. Plus, no mosquitoes!? The morning temperature was a cool 7°C later raised to 20c , while it was warm and humid in Montreal, multiple campsites, public toilets can be found at some places and are...

Absolutely amazing experience. Unique opportunity to have a whole lake to yourself. On site we found 2 row boats, a smaller canoe, a 2-person kayak, and a SUP. Our cabin was clean and comfortable, just bring sheets and covers rather than sleeping bags, as they make too much noise against the mattress! And don't forget your pillowcase or your pillow while...
