A unique mountain right beside the Canadian/American border. The view up on top is amazing, you can see all the big American mountains over the border in Vermont! The top has an observatory deck that gives you a breathtaking 360 degrees panoramic view! The hike isn’t too long and it’s a decent moderate hike up with some strenuous uphill paths, but really not too difficult and fully doable! The entrance to hike the mountain is through the ZEC. We parked our car at P3 and then walked up the trails SF6-SF8-SF1. Took us about 3 and a half hours back and forth! Really fun and...

It could use some cleaning in the beginning section. There are branches a erosion all over the place and the bypasd way they made to avoid the eroded section wasn't even cleared from trees. If you start from the chalet, you should do the first part by walking on the road, which should end up being the same distance whem you rejoin the trail at the intersection. Although the beginning section was a bit rough and lacking maintenance. The rest of the trail was nice and clean and the watchtower on top was top notch. It's always windy up there, so i would suggest bringing a...

You don’t have to leave QuĂ©bec to get a taste of the White Mountains. Mount Gosford is one of the highest peaks in Southern QuĂ©bec, located in the Eastern Townships near the border with Maine and New Hampshire. Camping facilities are available for all seasons and include backwoods sites, full-service camping platforms, lean-tos and various sizes of cabins. Hiking, hunting, fishing, dogsledding, cross-country skiing and birdwatching are all prime activities here.

Went to Mount Gosford from Accueil using SF 1 and SP 6-8. Trail markers can be well seen on trees to follow the route. Lots of snow and fallen trees on the trail. It is recommended to use cleats after crossing the bridge on the Maple Syrup area since it’s more steep. Payment can be done without receptionist filling a form when entering and exiting by paying with card or cash. Overall good hike and not too difficult.
