My visit to Parc national du Mont-Saint-Bruno during the last days of fall was truly enchanting. Nature had transformed the landscapes into a canvas of vibrant colors, adding an extra layer of beauty to this already stunning place. Whether it's the peak of fall or any other season, this park never ceases to captivate. Nestled just a few kilometers from the metropolitan region, it's a genuine haven of nature. The five picturesque lakes, a stroll through the charming orchard, the sight of a historic mill, and the extensive network of trails offer a delightful escape at the heart of urban life. It's an exceptional natural oasis, perfect for a revitalizing getaway with family or friends. In my opinion, Parc national du Mont-Saint-Bruno - Sépaq is an ideal destination for walking or hiking. The well-maintained, family-friendly trails offer panoramic views, without steep inclines. It's not a wilderness trail but rather an urban park, making it suitable for beginners and young families. The trails are broad, well-traveled, and provide opportunities to explore various loops. For those who enjoy cycling, the park also offers bike-friendly paths. Ample parking spaces and numerous picnic spots make it a convenient and enjoyable destination. A visit here is highly recommended! 🍁 #MontSaintBruno #NatureEscape #FallMagic

COVID MEASURES: you need to buy your entrance online before entering the park. My go-to spot whenever I need to connect with nature (#takemetochurch). Easy trails. You can do a small visit with the kids for an hour or spend 4 hours discovering around. They have a small arboretum, you can bring you bbq and picnic. There is also a tea shop in the old mill so dont forget to bring your wallet for a nice coffee and a pain-au-chocolat mid way. 4 out of the 5 times I've gone you can see the deer chilling (no fear whatsover). I recommend you buy the annual SEPAQ membership, after 4 entrances it has almost paid itself, plus you get acces to all the other SEPAQ parks around Quebec. Visit their site for more activites such as mushroom picking, camping and accessibility options (I swear, they don't pay me, I just really like the spot).

Trail runner’s paradise, only minutes from Montreal downtown! We’ve been to Parc St Bruno since the 90s, have always enjoyed the tranquility of the park. In recent years Parc St Bruno has transformed into a trail run haven: clearly marked trails with distance and level of difficulty; beautiful lakes that house turtles and carps; and invigorating Boreal forests that are exuberant with freshness of quiet nature! You’ll run almost entirely in the shade. The welcome centre is nicely decorated, there are baby carriers and chariots available for running parents for FREE, I assume that was a courtesy from Osprey. You can get an annual SEPAQ pass for $80, or a park pass for $48. Best of all no mosquitos in the park, just a wonderful surprise! We’ll definitely come back!

Very nice natural park not far from the big city. We did the Lake trail (Blue; Sentier des Lacs), which is a nice and easy walk. I won't call it a "Moderate" hike as they state in the park's trail guide, unless you consider the ~8.8KM trail very long. The trail is very wide, in perfect shape and is shaded for most of its length. The view of the lakes is great and we saw quite a lot of wildlife. On the other hand only few bugs were spotted. Bikes are forbidden along most of the trail, and dogs at some. A great trail to do with small children in order to introduce them to hiking. Please bare in mind that this is a very busy park, especially over the weekend. Daily access is 9.85CAD for an adult and it is highly recommended to purchase it in advance.

For hiking, this is nice place to be if you're living in the area, and the trails are all well-marked. However, there are better options if you're visiting from elsewhere, as the scenery here is nothing special, and you would need to pay a Sépaq-mandated admission charge. It is a bit annoying that some of the trails are more like roads that cars can pass through. Additionally, it seems that there is private land scattered throughout the park. On the one hand, you can see some rather interesting houses or mansions (some of them have a fairyland vibe), but on the other hand, there can be a lot of construction/maintainence noises/equipment, which really takes away from the enjoyment of nature.
