The manor is restored nicely to look like it would have in the 1700’s. The staff provides you with an iPod that plays videos for each of the rooms in the house and describes what it was used for – treating patients, children’s bedroom, entertaining, etc. Each of the videos are under 90 seconds, just long enough to keep your interest without letting your mind wander. The inside tour takes about 45-60 minutes, you can do it at your own pace. My kids, age 13 and 11, really enjoyed it. If you have ancestors that lived on the island, this will be especially interesting to you....

They, along with the man who was there, (didn't catch his name) made us feel so welcome (despite our lack of knowledge of the French language) and provided such wonderful details about the property that it really made our day...
